Hola!
My name is Janet Suarez, I am 29 years old, I am Mexican, but I have been living in France for five years. I studied Social Anthropology, and I am currently doing a PhD in History. I have travelled to many places, but I never had the opportunity to do volunteer work, which is why I decided to sign up for Workaway. I love getting to know different cultures and always try to integrate as much as possible.

One of my greatest passions in life is learning languages because only through them can we truly connect with other cultures. I’ve been studying this subject for quite a few years, and well, I’m still learning. I have taught Spanish to children, but I have mainly given English lessons to adults. However, since I have been living in France for the past few years, I could also help with French.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have lived in five countries, and in each one, I have done different things—for example, gardening, working as a waitress, teaching Spanish and English, and being a receptionist. And as we say in Mexico, “what I don’t know, I learn.” I’m always open to learning new things, especially when it comes to crafts or working in the countryside.
