Actuellement, nous sommes

Description

We are a couple from Poland embarking on our first long journey together. Although this is our first major trip as a duo, we both already have experience in travelling and volunteering abroad. Maria spent five months in Southeast Asia, including two months volunteering in Cambodia and two weeks helping in a hostel in Thailand. Afterwards, she volunteered for five months in a children’s home in Johannesburg, South Africa. Jakub spent three weeks volunteering in Spain, helping rebuild an abandoned village. Now, we want to share this kind of experience together.

We live in Warsaw, where we both work — Maria as a physiotherapist (working with children and helping people relax through massage), and Jakub as a Swedish philologist currently employed in the automotive industry, though he is looking for a new path in life. We are passionate about nature, hiking, and staying active. Our goal during this journey is to run a half marathon. We find fulfilment in educating others about health and physical activity, as well as sharing our language and Polish culture.

Through Workaway, we hope to experience local life, become part of the culture, and contribute to meaningful local initiatives.
