Hello!

It is great to meet you!

My name is Indiarose and I come from the U.K, and have had the absolute pleasure of completing 5 workaways since beginning my time on this platform - and they have all been completely incredible!

I was fortunate to spend my first ever workaway experience with the most incredible family in SW France as an Au pair - I ended up staying for over two years! I treasured every second spent here, and it honestly changed my life...

Throughout my time in France I had the pleasures of caring for six beautiful horses of all ages and character, learning to surf, filling out my French skills, and tutoring English with young children through sports/play/reading - I just loved it!! I am forever grateful for this experience.

My second workaway experience was spent in Athens, Greece, volunteering in a cat sanctuary - working with a team of other lovely volunteers to care for the cats and supporting the daily routine of the organization! I cherished every second I spent here. Gaining a nuanced insight into the organization of small scale charity work. I learnt a lot - and gained true friendships too!

My third and fourth workaways were spent in Albania!

I began in Tirana volunteering in a hostel, where I stayed for 6 weeks and it was awesome! I quickly became part of a great team and loved the dynamic nature of my role as a workawayer here... Administration tasks (check-ins, bookings, organizing trips/transport, general cleaning and maintenance tasks, creative tasks - such as helping with decorating and painting throughout the hostel, and even organizing and presenting events such as evening quizzes and karaoke nights! I loved it! I have gained friends and skills for life here!

I then headed to Shkorda, volunteering in another great hostel, where I also stayed 6 weeks. Here, much like in Tirana, I had varied tasks and responsibility - which I truly loved! And it was great to, again, be part of a fantastic team and play a key role in guests experience through our mini tours and trips! It holds a special place!

After Albania I found myself in the beauty of Italy and spent my most recent workaway on an agro-ecological farm stay and I treasured and connected to this experience a great deal... Agro-ecology and permaculture as a subject, and a life practice is something I feel deeply passionate about and connected too... As well as maintaining the gardens I also helped with manual building tasks which was great too ! I enjoy being practical and getting stuck in !!

And now... I am looking onto where I will head next!! I look forward to it!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a wealth of experience and knowledge with horses. I have schooled plentiful horses, and competed in show-jumping and show cross at local level.

I also have experience with building, I have helped at my local stables with building stables and measurements.

I have experience with decorating, and have done paid work decorating local houses in my university city.

I also have Barista experience from working in an artisan cafe part time throughout my masters degree!
