Hey! Our names are Millie and Izzy, we met at our rowing club and became friends 4 years ago. Over the years of rowing together we discovered we both not only had a love for being outdoors but also a love for adventure and travelling.
We hope to experience different cultures and help people all over the world. We would also love to learn some basics in the language you speak to be able to better communicate with you and those in the area.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Millie has excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing. She works well with people at all levels and is a qualified climbing instructor of both adults and children. Before becoming a fully qualified climbing instructor she volunteered at her local climbing wall with the younger children for 2 years. She is good at working both in a team and as an individual. She is good at problem solving and fit and healthy so able to work well manually. She is also a fast learner, very motivated and conscientious. She is able to both follow instructions as well as give out clear and easily understood instructions herself. She took care of a 7 year old boy with learning difficulties for over a year. She also tended for and grew vegetables in her garden for many years. At A level she studied geography, psychology and A level PE.

Izzy is very skilled in baking and has other related talents such as cake decorating. She has always been very creative and is always up for trying new crafts. She is very hardworking and always willing to get her hands dirty. She is good at caring for both animals and vegetables, she has her own sheep as well as a dog and a small vegetable garden. She can learn quickly on the job and is not afraid to try new things. She is very intelligent and received the highest grades in her GCSEs, going on to study maths, chemistry and biology at A level. In sixth form she taught another student English for around 6 months.

Millie loves playing board games and card games. She also enjoys being creative and painting/crafting thing even if they don’t always look as amazing as she planned. She has a deep love for the ocean and most bodies of water. She would spend all her time in the sea if she could. Millie is able to paddle board, kayak and has a basic ability in surfing. She loves going on long walks and hikes. She enjoys taking photographs of nature and beautiful scenery as well as immersing herself in the local culture and exchanging stories with people she meets. She is vegetarian and likes to learn how to cook new vegetarian dishes.

Both Millie and Izzy share a passion for reading and learning new things. They are also both optimistic, always try to make the best of situations and come up with solutions together. They are always interested in hearing about the experiences and cultures of others.

Izzy’s mother’s side of the family are Italian so she experiences a mix of both Italian and English culture. She enjoys long hikes and bike rides and enjoys doing anything outside. She is also a keen artist and likes to experiment with different art forms. She has played cello, piano and recorder for many years and continues to be musically talented. Similarly to Millie, Izzy is good at paddle boarding and enjoys water sports.
