Hi! I am an outdoor, adventure & travel lover with a passion for yoga, veganism, hiking and biking! I am a scientist and am graduating with a master's in chemistry and love to meet new people :)

My love for travelling has been growing since travelling Europe and the Balkans and hiking Portugal's fisherman's trail, Qazbegi in Georgia and the mountains of Montenegro. Doing it solo has brought me a HUGE sense of accomplishment and i've seen how much it's helped my confidence and people skills grow. In between my studies, I've gone out on trips and always leave wanting more.

With graduation approaching comes my next adventure and I feel a workaway is the perfect opportunity for me. I am keen to settle and explore a new area for a longer period of time to help build connections within a community. I am looking for gorgeous natural scenery, somewhere I can enjoy the outdoors- learning to surf would be a big plus and I'd love a welcoming environment to make new friends.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- cooking- passionate vegan home chef. i love cooking and take pride in preparing home cooked meals for myself my family and friends when i can. I love food, trying new cuisines, and taking inspiration from different cultures to adapt classics into vegan versions.
- Gardening- I own over 30 houseplants, and grew up helping my family in portugal farm their land growing potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage, peppers, cucumber, courgette, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, corn, fruit trees and more! I have flipped my own home garden from rubble and an overgrown mess to a home.
- Languages- I am a native English speaker and also speak conversationally in Portugeuse.
- Handy- i built a brick firepit in my garden, have helped paint houses and put together furniture.
- Bike mechanics- i am a passionate cyclist and am embarking on a cycle touring trip across norway in august so i know my way around a bike and can help with basic bike mechanics
- Social media and photography- I have helped manage my univerisity societies’ social media and take interest in the power of social media in business and advertising. I also enjoy photography as a hobby especially when im travelling
- Yoga- I have been practising yoga for over 2 years and have learnt through my university’s yoga society, online lessons and have self taught myself yogic principles through reading. I do classes for my friends and family for fun!
- social skills- i have developed my communication and interpersonal skills through solo travel experience, networking with my university of 40,000 students, volunteering with Climate Ed- a charity that teaches workshops to 9-11 year old children at schools, scientific presentations and oral assessments in my academic experience.
