Description

Hello everybody!
My name is Pia, some of my friends also call me Pipi, 24 years old from Leipzig, Germany. I discovered workaway when I was 19 and am travelling on off since! After my graduation in occupational therapy in summer 2024 I started travelling more to gain experience in different settings and work fields. I’m very interested in learning more about dogs & beekeeping, improve my building skills & Spanish and gain experience in hospitality!
Nonetheless my real passion is working with people and help develop projects I believe in. I bring new ideas, show initiative & am very motivated.

Some of my former working experiences:
- a year in a special school for kids with difficulties in social and emotional development
- working as an occupational therapist with mentally, physically and neurologically impaired people
- working as a waitress for some time
- volunteering in an autonomous non-profit social club organizing concerts, speed friending, creative evening and pub quizzes & working behind the bar during events
- since a year working in a dog rehabilitation center (which involves building projects of all sorts as well as some gardening)

Why I am doing workaway for such a long time?
I love this possibility to push my limits by going in a completely new environment, getting to know new friends as well as learning useful skills.
