Hello everyone, my name is Manuel, I am a 27-year-old Italian guy from Genoa who is now living in Verona to study for a Master's degree in Environmental Biotechnology, because I want to learn about the world of environmental sustainability and how to apply it.

I have been part of a scout group all my life, so camping, hiking and improvisation are experiences that I have assimilated well over the years.

My first experience of travelling alone was when I lived in Spain for almost a year, volunteering in a nature-friendly school.

I am someone who has always loved travelling and meeting new people. I am very curious to try new activities outside my comfort zone and to help people in any kind of activity.
I think I am a very sociable person and I adapt easily to different situations without too many problems. I love community life and sharing experiences and ideas.

I like meeting new people because you can always learn about each other's cultures and languages. I am interested in improving my English and learning the local language. I am also very willing to teach Italian and Spanish, which I know well.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in social work as an educator, creating various types of workshops. I have also worked in catering, so I am good at interacting with people.

I adapt very well to any type of work, I love being outdoors and working in a team.
I have experience in other Workaway projects, working and preparing small vegetable gardens from scratch.

Since I love and respect nature, I enjoy learning many techniques on how to live as sustainably as possible.

I am interested in the world of sustainability, which I am studying in depth (Master's Degree in Environmental Biotechnology), and in meeting new people with whom I can exchange and share experiences.
I don't have a driving licence, so I rely heavily on public transport.
I am an occasional smoker, but I have no problem quitting for periods of time (perhaps even better!).
I have no problem with any type of diet; in fact, I really enjoy learning new healthy recipes and cooking together!
