Hi!
I'm from the UK and am travelling to New Zealand on a working holiday visa in April 2026. I've spent the last couple of years working as a Ranger in Wales, UK, building my countryside skills including installing fencing and gates, scrub clearance, scything and chain sawing. I would like to continue using these skills whilst I'm in New Zealand. I also have experience as a gardener, having worked both as a private gardener and on a plant nursery.

My experience as a workawayer started in Denmark where I worked on an organic Farm on Fyn, and then helping a couple rebuild their home with recycled materials in Jutland. I've also worked on an organic farm in Wales, which is how I ended up moving to Wales!

I am hoping to spend my year in New Zealand working and volunteering in the outdoors as much as I can. I am also hoping to travel around both islands as much as I can in my year!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My most recent experience has been working in horticulture at a nursery, gaining knowledge of plants and botany. The majority of my work experience has been interacting with customers, mainly in cafes and outdoor related jobs. I have worked in multiple campsites, assisting guests in putting up tents and doing general site work, manual work is something I enjoy, especially being outside.
I have recently completed my degree in outdoor and adventure management and have an understanding of outdoor provisions and how to manage people.
I have experience painting and decorating, at my current job at a youth hostel much of the winter is redecorating the hostel.

I really enjoy walking and running, especially trail running and would love to be in a location I could explore.
I Have a cat at home so am very comfortable around animals and am happy to look after them if needed.
