Description
My name is Klara, I was born in Prague and raised in Canada with many travels and countries in between. I enjoy sharing this life and meeting new people and learning from their experience and offering an opportunity to be grounded in an authentic environment.
My motto is Stay Well, Be Happy and it’s a lifestyle that I enjoy sharing with others.
Sunny Spain has so much to offer, and living in the Sierra Nevada mountains is a commitment to a natural way of living.
Not without the modern conveniences like running water, plumbing, electricity, we of course have all of those! But caring for our many animals, 7 dogs, 4 horses, a mule and random cats is satisfying since they are all rescues and so happy to lounge and participate in daily activities.
The land is always a project! A new garden, clearing brambles, spreading manure. Plus maintenance like painting, cleaning, assembling new projects, making organic skincare, harvesting olives, almonds, grapes, pomegranates and the list goes on!
Then creating something for the future, when we are ready! The tasks that is being done is only for my private property.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
Spain is known for their fiestas and deep cultural roots. The Alpujarras is rich in mountain living back to the Moors.
Riding horses and taking hikes up the mountain trails is a beautiful experience with safe trails, edible fruit trees and fragrant herbs.
I am fluent in English and Czech with conversational Spanish and French. As a certified English teacher we can spend a few hours per week practising and enriching your English skills. The area is predominantly Spanish speaking so a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the 2nd most spoken language in the world!
I love to cook and eat. So your cultural cuisine is always an exciting aspect to hosting. Years ago in Canada I hosted Japanese students and to this day we enjoy making some of the meals they shared.Aide
Help is varied depending on the season and what is required.
A consistent activity is caring for animals. Exercise them as needed.
Creating a vegetable garden or maintaining one. Painting walls as needed, cleaning indoor spaces and outdoor areas.
Harvesting help, pruning trees and watering spaces.
I would ask for 5 hours per day 5 days per week.
There are many trails and a village nearby where you can enjoy various levels of walking either alone or with a dog as well.
If you horseback ride, you’re welcome to join me on various rides in the area outside of helping time.
Some tasks is shared, while other tasks are assigned.
This is not a faint-hearted environment, so understand that there is some lifting and a self-sufficient style of helping. Light duties may include household chores as needed or group activities such as cleaning/cooking/tidying.
The tasks that is being done is only for my private property.
I will be doing tasks alongside them in various activities. We will have daily chores like feeding animals, cleaning areas and gathering eggs.
Preparing meals and cleaning.
As well as, seasonal projects like gathering olives, building garden boxes and sowing. Picking fruit and nuts and drying it for trail mix. Plus planting trees and plants. Moving fencing. Art projects. Plus fun and creative activities that include painting organizing spaces, improving the chicken coop and possibly a duck pond.
I am very grateful for the extra help.
I am a licensed English teacher and also speak Czech and Spanish with some French so this is also an opportunity to share language and cultures.Langues

I would really enjoy using my French! The longer that I am in Spain, the more my French is replaced with Spanish.Hébergement
There are two options.
A fully functional casita with kitchen and bathroom and 2 sleeping areas. Also a canvas bell tent that would be available next to the casita when we have multiple guests or an overlap.
Meals are communal with Breakfast and dinner provided and ample snacks and food available in between. We will cook together for dinners, and breakfast/lunch is generally available from our own pantry. The local market store is walking distance so you can easily pick up any additional requirements, should you have any specific cravings.Autres infos...
There are buses that take you to other villages and main cities (Granada). As well, I can pick you up from larger local cities or airport (Almería, Motril, Granada)
Tell me what’s of interest to you and I can help with local activities etc.Informations complémentaires
