Hello everyone!
My name is David von Putten, I’m 21 years old and currently finishing my studies in Business Administration in Berlin, Germany. I’ll complete my degree in September 2025, and from October onwards, I plan to travel to Australia to gain new experiences, step out of my comfort zone, and immerse myself in a different culture.

I’m looking forward to living and working with a local family — not just as a guest, but as part of a community. After years of academic work behind a desk, I’m eager to do something completely different: work with my hands, spend time outdoors, and contribute to meaningful projects. I enjoy physical work, especially in nature, and I’m motivated, respectful, and open to learning new skills.

For me, this journey is about growth, exchange, and connection. I would be truly happy to help out wherever needed and to experience everyday life in Australia from a local perspective.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I enjoy working with my hands and learning by doing. In the past, I’ve gained experience in a variety of practical jobs:
• At my parents home, I regularly help with gardening work – including planting, digging, building fences, and creating garden beds
• Thanks to my business studies, I have a good understanding of numbers, planning, and economic thinking, which helps me stay structured and efficient
• I completed an internship as a carpenter, where I learned basic woodworking skills
• besides my studies I work in a supermarket, which taught me to be reliable, organized, and customer-focused
• during my final years of school (the German “Abitur”, which is similar to the Australian Year 12 Certificate), I worked part-time in a warehouse where I helped with packing, sorting, and shipping
• Thanks to my two nieces (aged 2 and 3), I’m also very familiar with caring and spending time with children and enjoy interacting with them
• On top of that, I became independent at an early age and have always taken care of household tasks like cleaning, doing laundry, and organizing everyday routines

I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and always happy to support wherever I’m needed.

In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and doing other kinds of sports like workouts - though not always regularly :) - and going on bike tours. I also love spending relaxed afternoons or evening with friends, enjoying good food and great conversations.
