Description
Retired couple with lots of hobbies, interests and projects on small rainforest edge property near Airlie Beach. No pets please as our chickens free range.
We are early risers and like to have our workday done by midday. Usually. we start work at 8am and work until 10am, have a break for morning tea, and then do another 2 hours work before lunch. This is flexible. Timing can be affected by weather , what tasks need doing and any plans that our workaway guests may have in regard to getting out and exploring the location.
Our guests have free choice of how to use their free time. We can be flexible in allowing our guests time to take advantage of the local tourist attractions and adjusting their working time schedule to allow for day trips.
We are involved with the Proserpine Bowls Club and welcome our workaway guests in joining us for a game of social lawn bowls.
We eat a very varied but basic diet and can cater for vegetarian (with notice)....We are unable to cater for special dietary needs of gluten free or vegan.
Our guests eat with us. We provide food for breakfast, lunch and dinner which is planned to provide a well rounded balanced diet. Any special extras (snacks and drinks) are our guests responsibility. We do have a refrigerator for guest's personal use.

Host couple are experienced travellers in Australia and overseas.
Enjoy the peace and quiet of our small acreage, learn and work in a chemical free organic garden.
Enjoy the location for it's bushwalking opportunities, quiet and space.
We are close enough to town to be able to benefit from what it has to offer when needed, but far enough away to avoid the hustle of the town.
Both hosts are lifelong learners who enjoy sharing their experiences and meeting new people of all ages.

Looking for individuals or couples willing to help with garden maintenance and building projects. Skills are not a prerequisite but motivation to help us achieve our goals is appreciated.

Access roads to campsites are not suitable for large motorhomes due to slopes and tree cover. Campsite does not have power and is outside of our wifi range. Mobile phone coverage is isolated to certain spots on our property.
