Description

I am Clay, a student from the University of Virginia studying History and Drama! I want to become a professional comedian and actor after I graduate, and have been doing shows and small productions for a couple years now! I am passionate about serving my community and giving back in any way I can, whether it be volunteering at a food pantry or telling jokes to create laughter. What motivates me is living this life to the fullest, because I have no clue what day will be my last. As a result, I try to experience anything and everything this world has to offer, all while keeping a big smile on my face.

While this is a new profile, I previously did a workaway on a sheep farm in Northern Iceland, which was a blast! I love Workaway because of the opportunities it gives me to explore the world, experience new cultures, and meet the most interesting people. I am excited and eager to learn about almost anything and to undertake any kind of work necessary.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am proficient with manual labor, with some experience landscaping and working on a farm. I have experience feeding and tending to sheep, and I have done plenty of yard work using many different tools. Further, I am a tall and decently strong person, (6'3/1.94M), and can do heavy lifting.

I love cooking, and can help in the kitchen! I can prepare meals or help cook anything.

Interior design and decorating are strong suits of mine, as I enjoy making the spaces I live in look good! Can decorate, clean, etc.

I am an extroverted person who loves to spend time with people, so if you're looking for company I can chit chat about anything in the world! Also can brighten your day if you need a laugh or a smile.

I am an eager learner who puts my full effort into new tasks. If there's something I don't know, I can and will happily pick it up!

Clay (and his friend Troy) spent two weeks with us. It was very nice having them here together. They assisted with a lot of tasks, prepared beautiful meals, played music for us, cracked lots of jokes together. This place was brighter at their presence. Thank you the help!

Out of my many Workaways, this was one of the best. The monastery is extremely well run, with diverse work and plenty of learning. This was a wonderful workaway with an extremely wide variety of tasks assigned. One day I pruned the garden's trees, the next I was sanding, and then I found myself mowing.
