Halløj my name is Caroline, and I’m from Denmark somewhere in the east of Jutland.
the past 3 years I've just been enjoying my life, learning as much as possible about everything I find interesting, traveling and going on silly little adventures.

I love being in nature, It really is my happy place. Going on hikes and camping in the wild is something I've enjoyed doing a lot.
While I also find being surrounded by a community of great people to be a core value to me, and something I'll always love being a part of, I too thrive well in my own company.

I've done a couple interrail trips in the past few years to most parts of Europe, here I learned that I thrive in moving and traveling, while seeking new experiences.
I traveled alone to Norway where I also did Workaway at a ødegård.
I too have done workaway in France with my best friend Bella. last year we went back again to reunite with our friends Kai and Josẽ who we met volunteering at their Workaway.
Also I've done a handful trips in the Nordic, since this is the part of this earth I hold dear and cherish the most. Last spring I went with a stranger now friend traveling up north in her van. Also I just traveled up north to hike and enjoy the nature there. I hope to go further up north again this summer, to go camping in the woods and the mountains, and to hopefully go for some bigger hikes and meet some great people along the way!

Also I just spent half a year sailing on a school ship called Georg Stage where i got educated to become a sailor, we sailed around in the baltic sea, and i got used to live with 63 other sailor students on no space, while manually making this old legacy of a ship sail together with my mates, it was a hardcore experience and the conditions where brutal at times, but i loved it so dearly, I learned so much.

After finishing a dreaded time in high school 3 years ago, I started working as a kindergarten teacher assistant, which I enjoyed! Spending time with children has really always sparked joy in me, and I matured a lot while having that responsibility. I'm back for the winter of 24/25 to earn a bit of money to go travel again.

I have a great interest i sustainable agriculture and permaculture, I've had my own little vegetable garden at home for 6 years. And although I’m no professional in it, it's something I am really passionate about learning more about! I plan on taking an education in this at some point. I really resonate with the idea of working with nature rather than against it. I'm also very interested in the wild herbs and plants.
Generally I really love the idea of becoming as self sufficient as possible, a dream of mine would be to live in a community alongside nature, while living of the land.
some current hobbies of mine is woodwork (mostly carving spoons) spinning and making yarn on a distaff, cooking food, playing the guitar and going on silly little hikes.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a lot of experience with children, because I worked in a kindergarten, and this has taught me a world of things about responsibility and caregiving.

I've received education in permaculture through a højskole(folk school) I went to, and I've worked both at home in my garden and through workaway with crobs and gardening. And what I don’t have in knowledge I have in passion. I really want to learn about growing vegetables, herbs and more!

other than that I'm also used to working with animals. I've worked with big animals for a decade when i was younger, mostly horses and sometimes sheep. Though it's been some years since I've delt with horses.
And im also used to being around big dogs, my family have always had big dogs since i was small, and I was just always amazed by animals since I was little.

I too have learned how to use my hands by becoming a sailor, I helped rigging down a ship for winter, and hard labour is no new thing to me.

and at last, I love cooking, I've always been doing that. my parents said that I was allowed in the kitchen always, making my own food, as long as I cleaned up. That mindset of them, have made me a experienced and experimental cook that have been used to making food for myself and others since I was just five.
