Hi! We’re Carina (29) and Jasper (33), a couple from Germany who love traveling, being in nature and meeting new people and cultures. Since December 2024, we’ve been on our trip around the world. So far, we’ve explored some amazing places and met wonderful people in New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam—and now we’re excited for a new adventure and work & travel experiences in Canada!
We both enjoy learning new things and love being part of meaningful projects. One of our shared passions is diving—it’s something that always brings us joy and a sense of peace.
We’re reliable, respectful, and active and we’re always happy to lend a hand—whether it’s helping out in the garden, doing DIY work or taking care of animals.
About Carina:
This trip is my first longterm journey and I am really enjoying it! It is an amazing opportunity to get in touch with different cultures, people and lots of nature. Perfect conditions for my love to photography and being in the nature.
I’m a nature and animal lover at heart. I grew up surrounded by dogs and birds and one of my dreams is to one day have a big garden with happy dogs and cats playing around. I find a lot of joy in gardening—I’ve spent the past few years growing a wide variety of plants from seed all the way to harvest.
At the same time, I’m a very organized person who enjoys managing all kinds of tasks. I’m confident with computer work—whether it’s writing website content, handling Excel spreadsheets or helping with digital organization. In Germany, I spent the last 6.5 years working in a medium-sized company as a mechanical engineer and product manager in product development. Along the way, I gained experience in customer service and developed a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
I love working on new projects, especially when there’s a chance to learn something or create something meaningful.
About Jasper:
In 2017, I went on my first solo trip around the world and visited several countries. One of the highlights was New Zealand, where I had a Work & Travel visa and worked in all kinds of places—like a honey factory, a garlic processing plant, vineyards, and a few cozy cafés. Further I lived with a Aussie-Chile-mixed family with three kids for a month and helped them with various DIY projects, the garden and the kids. It was a great way to meet people, try new things, and get a taste of different lifestyles.
I studied biomimetics and lightweight engineering, because I’ve always been fascinated by how nature solves problems in such clever and efficient ways. For the past two years, I worked in research and development with innovative projects.
Outside of work, I give computer lessons to elderly people for the last 10 years. I really enjoy helping them feel more confident with technology—it’s a fun and rewarding way to connect and support others.
I’m a creative and hands-on person who loves working on DIY projects, especially with wood. I like building things that are both useful and decorative, mixing craftsmanship with a bit of design. A few of my favorite projects have been making my own wooden sunglasses, crafting jewelry for Carina, and building a wooden lamp for our living room. I’m always curious to learn more and would love to take on bigger projects to improve my carpentry and DIY skills.
Cooking is another passion of mine. Over the last few years, I’ve fine-tuned a few of my favorite recipes and love trying out new ingredients and techniques in the kitchen.

Jasper: I would like to teach german basics. I can speak fluent englisch, but I like to improve my english skills further. I am interested in learning french and spanish. Carina: I can also teach german, but first of all I want to improve my english speaking skills. If there are any possibilities, I would love to learn spanish.
