Description
Hello!
We are a French-Brazilian family. I’m Andreia, Brazilian, I speak Portuguese, basic Spanish, enough English for communication and I’m learning French.
I am a stylist, fashion designer and aspiring photographer.
César, my husband, is French, a violinist and director of a training company for artists. He works from home and his mother tongue is French.
Atef is also French, my husband’s cousin, and lives with us. He is a musician, singer and songwriter, and works mostly from home. He speaks French and Arabic.
Laura, our 27-year-old Danish nanny, lives with us and takes care of our baby Sky, who is 1 year old.
Gabriel, my 24-year-old Brazilian friend, is also living with us.
Neo, Atef’s son, stays with us temporarily from time to time.
We all communicate in English.
We have two dogs — an extremely affectionate little dachshund who’s always looking for a lap, and a shy Golden Retriever–Chow Chow mix who had a history of mistreatment before being adopted and tends to stay in his corner or follow his owner around quietly.
We live in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, right next to a train station (La Varenne - Chennevières - RER), which takes you to Paris in 25 to 50 minutes depending on the time.
The village is quiet and pleasant, perfect for walks by a charming lake. We are just a 3-minute walk from a supermarket, and we have gyms, pharmacy, restaurants — everything within walking distance.
The tasks are domestic and will be 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Days off and tasks are planned weekly in advance.

WE HAVE TWO (2) PROFILES NEEDED:
• PROFILE 1:
• Cleaning, ironing clothes and general household chores
• Walking and feeding the dogs
• Organization
• Supermarket shopping
• PROFILE 2:
• Cooking healthy meals (you don’t need to be a professional, but you must be curious, enjoy searching for recipes/videos, and bring new ideas). This is the most important of all tasks, so please do not apply if you are not comfortable cooking, including cooking meat if you are vegetarian.
• Planning meals
• Supermarket shopping
• Cleaning and organizing when no cooking is needed
🕒 This profile usually works in the afternoon and evening, as the main task is preparing dinner.
Outside cooking hours, you may do tasks from PROFILE 1 (within your schedule).

Our house is full of life, and we often have visitors. It’s a great opportunity to practice both French and English on a daily basis!
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
• The days off are chosen by us and may be taken during the week. That’s normally better for the workawayers because it’s better to meet around Paris during the week. Also the different workawayers can not take the same days off.
• The cooking is normally for dinner during the week and the meals for the weekends will depend on our plans. One time or other we may be ok for you to take day off in a weekend.

ENGLISH
We live 3 minutes from the train station (La Varenne - Chennevières - RER) which takes you to the center of Paris in 25 to 50 minutes depending on the time of day where you can easily travel to the tourist attractions of Paris and when possible we would love to accompany you . As a French-Brazilian family we can help you practice both French and Portuguese.
César and Atef speak French, I speak Portuguese and while I haven't yet learned French we communicate in English, so if you want to learn any of these languages, it will be a pleasure for us to practice together! If you like classical music you will have a lot to talk about with César and Atef who will have a lot to convey. Atef is a singer and César is a violinist and plays the piano we have at home incredibly well and if you like fashion and photography, it will be a pleasure to exchange the experiences from my career as a stylist.
Our house is full of life and visitors are frequent. You can benefit from this and practice your French and English a lot.

ENGLISH
On your walks around the neighborhood you will find a very charming lake with decks to sit and relax. The lake has a pedestrian trail around it where local residents usually walk and run along its entire length.
It will take you 25 to 50 minutes to get to the center of Paris, it all depends on where you are going and what time you are going. There is a lot to see and visit in the Paris region and you will definitely love it. It will be a pleasure to give you tips on what to do in the Paris region and when possible, we can all go out together.
