Description
We are adventure lovers who are always happy in nature and around others. We are motivated to travel because we want to meet new people, see new places and have new experiences. We believe that there is more to life than just working one job and living in one place for many years, and we like to think that there is something to be learned in every moment, interaction and experience. Annissa grew up in a small mountain town, so she loves anything outdoors, and is especially interested in spending more time near the beach. Colibry grew up in a big family and is very family oriented. He has always lived in the same place and is excited to grow and broaden his perspective. We are generally described as very calm people, no matter the situation, and we try to live every day with kindness, as we believe that the energy we put out is taken in by others. Annissa loves to ski, raft, paddle board, play guitar and hike, and Colibry enjoys photography, hiking, camping, and art. We would both love to learn how to surf! This is our first time on workaway, but we've had a lot of experience traveling, and we are always trying to squeeze in small adventures wherever we can. We've finally made the time for a bigger adventure and we are looking forward to immersing ourselves in another culture for a longer period of time!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Annissa:
My main job is as a stage manager for live performance, so my big skills are attention to detail, anticipation of others needs, communication with all different types of people, organization and creative problem solving. I also work as a group fitness instructor, so I have experience instructing others, especially in fitness related fields. I work as a stagehand as well, giving me experience working in stressful situations with big groups of people. I have also worked at a summer camp for people with developmental disabilities, where I learned patience and how to care for others. Finally, I grew up in a restaurant family and spent several years working in my dad's restaurant, giving me fairly good knowledge and experience of the service industry.
Colibry:
I have strong social skills and am very adaptable and organized. I also have a strong work ethic and love to be busy. I have metal working experience and recently completed welding school. I grew up working in my mom's landscaping business, so I have a lot of experience with yard work and gardening. I am also efficient in the use of hand and power tools.
We are both quick learners and love to help out wherever we can!
