Coming from a fast-paced academic routine and city living, stepping outside to work directly with the soil and animals brings us a profound sense of grounding and purpose.

Happiness for us is found in the simple, rewarding moments: a quiet morning in nature, tending to plants and watching them thrive, or ending a long day of physical labor by sharing a hearty, slow-cooked meal and good conversation with the people around us. We find a lot of joy in stepping out of our comfort zones, learning new practical skills, and experiencing a slower, more connected way of life."

We bring a complementary mix of hands-on experience, ranging from physical outdoor labor to contributing to a warm, communal household.

Agriculture & Plant Care: We have practical experience in "soil work," including planting, weeding, and general land maintenance. Beyond basic farm chores, there is a deep personal passion for gardening, plant propagation, and nurturing plant health. We know how to care for plants and are always eager to get our hands dirty in the garden or the fields.

Animal & Equine Care: We bring a strong background in equine care. This includes confidently and safely handling horses, maintaining clean stables, and managing daily feeding and care routines. We are very comfortable around large animals and understand the responsibility required to care for them.

Cooking & Household Contributions: We believe that sharing a meal is the best way to build community. We love spending time in the kitchen and would be very happy to cook for the household. We particularly enjoy preparing hearty, slow-cooked meals to share after a long day of physical work.

Problem-Solving & Fast Learning: Coming from rigorous academic backgrounds in exact sciences and computer science, we are highly methodical, organized, and detail-oriented. Whether it is troubleshooting a broken system, following complex instructions, or learning a completely new physical task, we catch on quickly and work efficiently.
