Description
Hello! My name is Alex, I am a 21 year-old University student in the US (Philadelphia) studying finance and dance. During my breaks from University, I love to travel and experience new cultures, people, languages, and geography. I am part of a large family with three brothers, and we spend a lot of time together playing all sorts of games and going to new places. I am a very active individual, commonly enjoying runs and bike rides. I also like to play sports with my friends like soccer, football, basketball, and volleyball. Last March I sailed through Norway skiing the mountains. I also kayaked the Stockholm Archipelago in Sweden. Lately I have been learning Spanish as well. When I am not in school, I like to try new things and visit new places, but more than that I love to meet new people and immerse myself into new cultures. Language barriers do not scare me, neither do differences in age or ethnicity. I embrace differences which allows me to get along with others very easily. I also volunteer as a Sunday School Teacher at my local church because I love working with children. I have taught gym and English classes in public schools and babysat. During a workaway, it would be important for me to get to know my hosts well, and really become part of their family. I look forward to meeting people all over the world!

Yes English is my native language, and I've also studied it at University and have taught English. I'm also interested in learning basics of other languages so that I am more familiar with the cultures I visit. I am interested in learning Spanish/Italian.

I've studied English and math for many years including University. I'm very physically fit and am skilled at most sports. I work with and get along very well with children. I'm a skilled dancer and love all forms of art, including advanced knowledge of chess and piano. I'm also skilled with technology and a good driver.
