Intercultural exchange and surf for pleasure in Galera, Ecuador

  Description

  We run an agrotourism and surf project located in a private forest with private beach with a surf break right in front of the house . We need volunteers to help with the maintanance and hands on to keep up the property. We have a very comfortable house with a bathroom, kitchen, balcony, living room with hammocks and furniture. There are water and electricity. We are 4 km from the main road, 10 km from Galera, 7 km from Estero de Plátano. The property is located right in front of the Marine Reserve Galera-San Francisco at sea level. Help wanted in painting, gardening, cleaning and other tasks (upon request). Minimum experience and willing to help - is a MUST!

  You will be immersed in Spanish language, rural ecuadorian culture and fishing villages in the south of Esmeraldas province. You can come here to learn about agroforestry, local agricultire, surf, fishing, etc. There are two small towns nearby Galera and Estero de Platano which you can visit for the intercultural exchange.

  Aide

  We are looking for help renovating the Hotel located in a protected forest right in front of the Pacific Ocean to enjoy it during your free time.
  We are interested in anyone who is willing to help and are happy to hear any ideas. We require people with minimum experience in PAINTING, GARDENING, DIGITAL NOMADS.

  Hébergement

  There is space to accommodate maximum 4 volunteers at a time. The house has running water and electricity, a refrigerator, stove top, full kitchen, utensils,private shared bathroom, shower, I can give one ride per week to the nearest big town (Tonchigue or Atacames) in order for you to buy your own groceries for your meals. If in season, the volunteers are welcome to help themselves to the farm's plantations -- banana, papaya, yucca, plantain, passion fruit, vegetables, and more.

  Autres infos...

  There are buses, vans and trucks on the main road every hour from early in the morning until about 5:00 pm. They can take you to the surrounding areas. Nearby points of interest include Estero de Platano, Same, Sua, Atacames, and Mompiche. While we are in the country. The best option will be to stay in the beach hotel, it is a magical place. a gem in this world.
