Hello, my name is Alexander. I’m 20 years old and from Denmark.
I’ve just finished the Danish version of high school, and I’ve worked in sales while living on my own in an apartment in Aalborg.

In my free time I love sports, being with friends, and learning new skills.
I do a lot of running — mostly track — and I used to do a lot of road biking and long-distance running as well.

I also have a deep love for music. My favorites are Radiohead, The Smiths, and Jeff Buckley. In that order, haha.

I love to draw and film things. I enjoy being creative and making something from scratch.

I’ve always had a strong curiosity about the world. I’ve always wanted to understand places and people directly through my own experiences. I’m interested in seeing how people live, what they care about, what they do, why they do it, and taking in everything I can from that.

I’m not focused on one specific country or type of work. If the place has kind people and something to learn, I’m honored to be there and contribute to someone else’s daily routine. I would say I’m reliable, easygoing, and I enjoy helping wherever I can — whether it’s practical tasks, physical work, or just being part of a community.

I might ask a lot of questions, but it’s all in good faith. I’m just an enormously curious guy, and sometimes that leads to some deep questions. I love thoughtful conversations. For me it’s not about what the topic is — it’s about whether someone has passion for something. I don’t mind if it’s about refrigerators or religion.

My goal with Workaway is simple: to understand the world better, meet people very different from myself, and gain experiences that you can’t get by staying home.

I would love to learn new languages. It’s not a preference and not my main goal, but if I stay with or meet someone who speaks a different language and is open to teaching me some of it, that would be the best and would have all my focus. And likewise, I speak Danish fluently and English fluently , and I would love to teach or help others with those if someone is interested.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a fairly fit guy, i have always done sports from running, to biking to football and much more, so I’ve always been good at physical work.

I also grew up on a farm with cows, horses, chickens, and more for about 7–8 years of my life, and I’ve always had pets like dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters. Because of that, I’m very comfortable with animals. I also worked part-time in a pet store called Maxi Zoo for about 2.5 years while I was in school.

I spent around a year working with elderly people with Alzheimer’s in a care home, so I’m good with people and used to taking care of others who might not be able to do everything themselves.

I moved out as soon as I turned 18, and now at 20 I’ve had to handle everything on my own: cooking, cleaning, laundry, waking up early for work or school, and generally running a household. So I’m strong with daily tasks and I don’t stress about basic responsibilities.

When I was younger, I sailed much of Europe with my grandparents. We went everywhere from Norway to Italy to Portugal. I’ve spent a lot of time on boats, and I love that kind of adventure.

Overall, I’ve always worked since I was 13, lived on my own, done sports, and kept myself active. I’d say I’m energetic, adaptable, and not afraid of hard work.
