Description
We are an older couple with many interests and love meeting new people of all ages. We have travelled extensively ourselves and like to learn and to teach. We need a bit of help with gardening and general maintenance on our 1 1/2 acre section in the hills of the Hutt Valley
. We have children and grand children in the area.

We love to share our vast knowledge of the NZ way of life, and can talk on many subjects, and we enjoy going to the beach, or the bush, we are less than an hour from Wellington by train , a wonderful and easy city to visit and explore.

Aide
Nothing too onerous, i am a keen gardener, the man of the house likes to potter and needs some help with firewood and a bit of concreting. No special skills required but a happy willing disposition would be appreciated.

A charming and roomy self contained sleep-out. We like to share our table and i am a good cook, but visitors could be self sufficient if they wanted to be.

Visitors are close to the rail line and bus routes to Wellington, Upper and Lower Hutt cities, we are happy to drop off or pick up from the station if necessary but it is only a 25 min walk . Other visitors have found getting to Wellington easy and it is a fun city to visit and explore.

Jessie was wonderful. She was so very easy to have with us and I could not have had a more obliging, cheerful , young woman. .I would highly recommend Jessie. We have a big section and she was so very able to work by herself with minimal supervision , which she did.

Jessi and Finn were with us for nearly a week and they were both lovely to have in our home and were wonderful workers. Most of the work was outside, gardening and cutting wood.some of it was very hard work but they were uncomplaining and cheerful.

The sleep out was outstanding, detached from the main house, a whole chalet for yourself with your own bathroom, kitchenette and lounge area. The garden was a wonderful place to work in. Isabelle was just wonderful. She was warm, friendly and extremely able and worked hard and competently in my garden. We so enjoyed her company . She would be an asset to any one and although Isabelle only worked in my garden as the weather was good I know she would be equally able with indoor work.

We have had a wonderful experience with Sue and Steve. They are excellent workers with a good knowledge of gardening,(Sue) and great building and DIY skills (Steve) . What a fabulous couple. Sven and Ingela were fantastic. We really enjoyed their stay and they worked so hard and did so much that we were overwhelmed. They would be welcomed back with open arms should they choose to return.

Jesse and Lukas stayed with us for nearly 2 weeks and we enjoyed having them . They are very pleasant and nice young men and worked well at any tasks assigned to them . They are enjoying their travels and liked going off on walks to explore our area in their time here.

I spent about 2 weeks with Neil and Sandra and it was absolutely wonderful. They really made me feel at home and were very keen on helping me enjoy my stay as much as possible.
