Hafa Adai! (how we say “hello” from my island)

I come from a tiny, but big hearted island from the Pacific Ocean known as Guam. I was born and raised as an islander, however my very being has always been drawn to explore the world, understand her people, and their cultures. Every country I visit, I want to leave a lasting imprint, helping and understanding their people to the best of my ability.

Through my travel experiences, I have found love and kindness from strangers, beauty in the curiosity of children’s innocent hearts, a continuous deepening love for Mother Nature and her animals, and an invaluable growth within myself.

I love and cherish hard work and the lessons I learn from persevering through difficult challenges and circumstances. My heart is filled when sharing love and laughter with others (especially children), spreading kindness, and being surrounded by nature and animals.

I may be a new member to the Workaway Program, however I am an eager and fast learner.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have 16 years of a variety of work experience, always eager and wanting to learn new skills in life.

I have gained knowledge and great customer service having worked in the retail, hotel, and food and beverage industries through the years.

Because I love the outdoors and working outside, I’ve worked as a surf and windsurfing instructor. I am a certified open water diver, and a certified lifeguard.

I am currently working as an independent therapist and a lifeguard.

I am an independent individual, although I value team work. I am a reliable and fast learning worker, and loves organization in all that I do.

I may be serious with the work that I involve myself in, however I am a very kind, respectful, and loving individual.

Doing work that involves getting dirty and is sweat inducing brings me great satisfaction, especially if it is done outdoors and in nature. I love a challenge.

I love nature! Surrounding myself in this environment always brings me peace of mind, growth, and clarity. Being with animals fill my heart with joy, having an unspoken language of love and kindness towards them.

I am always in search for adventure, whether it be hidden waterfalls, a rock wall to climb, a hidden oasis.. I am always looking for nature’s beauties to explore and play in.

Meditation, mindfulness, and daily exercise keeps my mind and soul healthy.

You can find me in the ocean surfing, diving, and just enjoying the serenity of its beauty and power. But you can also find me exploring the jungles, forests and green lands observing insects and animals, joyfully playing with them.

I love being introduced to new games, especially by children who are so precious in how creative and simple they are.

The simplicities in life bring me great satisfaction.
