Description
I am truly grateful to be able to share this magical place. You are invited to participate in the creative process of bringing this sanctuary of wellbeing to life located in the mountainous jungle, just 15 minutes from the village of Samaipata in Bolivia.
I am delighted to welcome volunteers who feel the call to connect with the earth and the rhythms of nature in this eco-retreat project.
My name is Anamé (Geneviève), I am originally from Quebec, Canada, and I now live in El Chorillo with Missi, my adorable dog. With the help of travellers, I am preparing the main house, the guest house, the grounds and the gardens for future guests seeking a healthier lifestyle.
This project offers a safe and enriching space to rest, slow down and reconnect, a place to discover new ways of being. This sanctuary will host personal development workshops and private sessions dedicated to emotional and physical healing.
This special space is built with traditional adobe bricks and natural materials, in harmony with its environment. It is surrounded by 3 hectares (7 acres) of vegetation where we will open new trails to weave new paths of life.

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
El Chorillo is a community of about twenty houses and, like Samaipata, people from different regions of Bolivia and around the world live side by side.
This sanctuary of well-being offers volunteers the opportunity to practise Spanish, English and French while sharing daily life, tasks and stories of their lives and travels. I have visited around thirty countries in Asia, Europe, South America, North America and Central America before choosing this place of life and harmony. We will have the opportunity to exchange our respective cultural perspectives and discuss topics that are close to our hearts.
This is a place to connect, collaborate and make a meaningful contribution, where volunteers are part of this vision of being rooted in nature and the values of respect for living beings.
Aide
In the coming months, the focus will be on physical work around the property — shaping the surroundings of the house, the gardens, the land, the parking area, the retaining wall, and the creation of stone stairways and natural pathways. Ceramic mosaics will be created outside both houses, adding color and art to the space. We will also be building an outdoor oven.
There is also help needed in the main house for lighter work like cleaning the house, the dishes and washing clothes.

Hébergement
There is a small house with two bedrooms with double beds and a full bathroom with hot water available for volunteers. The water is supplied by a mountain well and electricity is provided by solar panels.
I offer vegan, vegetarian or meat-based meals. You will be invited to prepare some of your meals, and at other times, I will cook dishes with flavours from different countries so that we can share good times together. I usually ask about fruit and vegetable preferences so that we can all be well nourished.
Autres infos...
I will provide transportation to Samaipata once or twice a week. You can also walk to the village, for about a one-hour through a beautiful natural setting. Mototaxi is also another option.
During your time off, there are a lot of tourist sites, hikes and cultural, spiritual, musical activities in the village to join.
This is a place where different forms of pollution are consciously avoided. The sanctuary is perfume-free, chemical-free, frequency-free (with unlimited wired internet), noise-free, and hopefully stress-free — creating a clean environment.

Missi (2 ans)
She is a rescued dog from the streets of Samaipata when she was 1 month old. She is a little scared of strangers the first 5 minutes but very sweet after that.

Lotsa play with Missie ,the shy one, who will love you soon.
The tasks to help out with were well explained and not challenging, and without any time pressure.
All in all, a great experience in a setting well worth discovering.
Thank you Aname.
