Description
We’re Isha and Indrajeet — a couple who somehow went from city life in Pune to village life, farming, animals, a farmstay… and now a one-year-old who keeps us on our toes!
We moved from Pune to our village about 8 years ago and have slowly built a life here that we really love. Our home is surrounded by fields and our Kesar mango plantation, and our little farm is usually full of animals, guests, conversations and the occasional chaos that comes with all of the above.
We had Workawayers staying with us for several years and genuinely loved the experience. We met people from completely different backgrounds, shared meals, stories, cultures and sometimes ended up becoming friends along the way. After having our baby, we took a break — and now we’re excited to open our home to travellers again.
A little about us
Isha runs the farmstay and is a certified yoga trainer. She currently works with postpartum mothers through online fitness and yoga sessions. She’s an animal lover, a bit of an ambivert and happiest when there’s good food, interesting conversation and animals around. She’ll probably introduce you to every animal on the farm before introducing herself properly.
Indrajeet is an entrepreneur working in real estate and also owns restaurants in Pune. He is the complete opposite of an ambivert — give him a person and a topic and he can talk for hours. There is a very real possibility that a “quick chat” with him turns into a 2 AM conversation about business, travel, life, food or absolutely nothing important.
And then there’s our one-year-old little boy, the newest member of the farm. We love meeting people from different places and hearing their stories, and we’d love for him to grow up around people from different cultures, countries and walks of life.
What life here is like
This isn’t a polished resort or a luxury farm. It’s a simple, lived-in farm surrounded by village life. There are mango trees, animals, farming, local food, quiet mornings, muddy feet and plenty of opportunities to do absolutely nothing for a while.
We love sharing our local food with guests, showing people around, taking them to village events when something is happening and simply spending time together.
Of course, there is some work involved too — helping with the animals, gardening, plantation work and small projects around the property. But we’re much more interested in people who want to experience farm and village life than people who are just looking to complete a list of tasks.
If you enjoy animals, nature, meeting people, trying local food, learning something new and occasionally getting your hands dirty, you’ll probably feel quite at home here.

Farming, Gardening and Animal Care! These are the things we
Farming-
We come from farmer's family and are proud to be a part of the Farming community. Our area is blessed with rich soil and abundant water. For kilometers together you won't find anything other than flat farm lands. We grow sugarcane, wheat, Bajra, Jowar, Mangoes and vegetables. Learn about these Crops and fruits. Also indulge in the farm activities! And not to forget our farm animals who make this experience wholesome.
Yoga -
Isha is a certified Yoga Trainer and takes Yoga sessions and meditation, breathing exercises etc. She is mostly occupied with her classes but if time permits you can workout with her.
Food & cultural events-
We love to share our local food with our guests and take them to nearby functions (if coincides with their stay) -

Aide
We are looking for people who would love to experience an Indian farm life and barn life. At our place we will be needing help in animal upkeep.
And for farming activities, you can indulge in mango farming activities, vegetable gardening and plantation activities.
We also need help in decorating our property so you will be taking part in lots of art projects, diy and building activities.
No prior experience needed you just have to be ready to learn and willing to get your hands dirty! -

Too bad it wasn't mango ripening season, but anyway there were other things to do:
we planted sugar canes, swept leaves, took care of some farm animals and participated in days with the guests.
