I stayed ~3 weeks in Darkhan and everything went well ! :) Mogi was very friendly and always ready to help if needed. At that time, we were two teachers so I only taught the morning classes (10 a.m - 12 p.m) and the saturday class (11a.m - 2p.m). The latter was a bit of a challenge for me as they are young kids and I was used to teach teenagers ^^ I liked the city, which is less crowded and less polluted than UB. The school is just a 15min ~ walk from the appartment which is really convinient. I would have stayed longer if i didn't have already booked my return flight (and if the appartment was less noisy ^^, but that's because I have a sensitive sleep >.<)

Anita stayed with us for a week, and we especially remember her love for cooking. She ended up cooking us a lot of tasty meals when we found out that she enjoys cooking (and I do not :D). She was an inspiration for me, as I could really see she took care to make food with all her heart, experimenting with some new ideas like making hand-made pasta and osso bucco, and she succeeded very well with all her cooking ideas. She was really having fun with the kids as well - her youth and happy spirit was lovely, and they had some good runs around the house with the kids. She is a smart young woman, and I wish her good luck with her university studies!

Edina and Istvan were great guests. They worked much more than we asked them to do and they were always happy to help. I would like to emphasize that they worked very independently. We would be happy to host them again and I would absolutely recommend them to other hosts. To make a good impression perfect, they left the house sparkling clean !

Staying with Salim was a joy. The lessons were fun and i felt useful in his class. What he offers his students by having nativa English speakers is great! And of cooked by his family is lovely too. They were all so welcoming!

We were very happy to have Tom with us. He is very helpful, skilled and a lovely person to work with. We’re grateful for all the care and attention he brought to every task, especially in the garden and outdoors, where his work was deeply appreciated. He blended in with the team naturally. He will always be welcome back anytime. :) Wishing you all the best on your next travels, and thank you for all your help!

I spent two wonderful months as a workaway and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Linda was incredibly warm, caring, and always full of positive energy. There was constantly something to laugh about in the house, and I felt welcomed and comfortable from the very first day. The three children — Fabrizio, Valentino, and Sophie — made every day lively, fun, and full of surprises. There was always something new happening, and I loved discovering their personalities and spending time with them. The home had a stunning view, which made the entire stay even more special, and the city itself was absolutely amazing to explore. I always felt safe, inspired, and happy during my time there. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’m truly grateful for the memories and the warmth this family shared with me. I would highly recommend this host family to anyone looking for a joyful and welcoming au pair stay in Italy.

Peer is an independent worker who loves spending time in the garden. He learns quickly and works with great enthusiasm. He is very kind and always thoughtful toward others. He’s eager to share his knowledge and has a strong sense of curiosity.

Great people, great place, amazing leaning opportunity. If you find yourself being drawn to this Workaway profile and are thinking of volunteering here, there's probably a reason why, and you definitely should give it a go! The people I met here, as well what I learnt about both Buddhism and about myself, were amazing. What this place offers is truly special and something so unique. It's set in a beautiful location in a stunning country and the people that volunteer here really are some of the most interesting people with the most interesting stories that I've ever met! I very much enjoyed the volunteering I did here, managing to spend most of my time outside gardening and in nature. This place has something for everyone and I think it's important that everyone gets to spend some time here at some point in their life. Thanks so much for having me, for all the memories, experiences and great people I had the chance to meet!

Nous sommes restés un petit peu plus deux semaines chez les sœurs racines et c'était absolument génial ! Fred et Sophie sont super accueillants, vont toujours faire en sorte que vous soyez bien, à votre aise et sont super attentifs au bien-être des autres. Nous avons fait les vendanges durant une semaine, mais aussi les mises en terres de vignes et bien d'autres choses. C'est plus qu'un simple workaway, c'est vivre une expérience unique avec une gang formidable ! C'est sur on reviendra leur dire bonjour avant de partir 🍇

Ander is a very positive and engaging person. He helped a lot with every task on the farm, from cooking to gardening to construction work. He has a great deal of energy and truly throws himself into every new project. Crazy kid!

Recomiendo ese voluntariado 100% ! El lugar es increíble, Christian, Juan y Rosario son muy amables. Después del trabajo podemos aprovechar de los ríos con unas cascadas de las más ricas. Era mi primer voluntariado y también la primera voluntaria para ellos, todo pasó muy bien 👍 La comida era deliciosa gracias a Rosario ! Desafortunadamente no pude quedarme más tiempo pero sin duda volvería.

Mylinh é uma pessoa incrível, com muitos talentos e com uma força única. Não tenho palavras para expressar o quanto ela foi importante em nos ajudar no desenvolvimento de nosso projeto. Pintou um mural, ajudou na construção da parede de escalada e ainda tinha uma receitas de comidas vietnamitas. Sua alegria e bom humor são contagiantes. Agradeço do fundo do meu coração os dias que você esteve aqui. Você é especial! Grande abraço e sucesso por onde você estiver!

This was truly an incredible experience to have had. I really enjoyed my time here, so much so that I extended it by a week! Martina was a great person to work and socialize with. She was so generous, genuine and someone I am now proud to call a friend! The teaching itself was very enjoyable, we taught through engaging methods that kept the kids learning in fun ways. I led some of the lessons fully on my own (despite zero experience of teaching), but for many of them would lead small groups or assist with activities. Whatever you do your days will be packed full of action and excitement. If you have a passion about teaching or enjoy working with kids then this is definitely a place you need to visit and an opportunity you need to be a part of. The children were amazing company, all so friendly and it was really great to get to know them all. I made so many connections, bonds and friendships with the students, their parents, and the teachers. Break times, lunch times and after school clubs were always great fun and filled with whacky and wonderful conversations with amazing children of all ages, it really was such a pleasure being around them. Also, the kids themselves are great Slovak teachers, so be prepared to learn many Slovak words. But many of them also had impressive English skills! What really surprised me was how open, kind hearted and generous everyone was to me! People went out of their way to be kind, give me positive experiences and just make me feel so welcome and at home. I had plenty of socializing opportunities, so much opportunity to do different sports (both with the kids and without) and attend different events (concerts, a protest, a hockey match, even a trip to Auschwitz). This really is a place where you get out of it as much as you put in, and if you throw yourself in fully then you'll honestly have the best time! My only word of warning is to make sure you leave room in your luggage because the kids will probably give you leaving gifts :)

Beatriz stopped at our place when she was on her way to Australia, travelling slowly by land. I find it pretty amazing! This fact already tells a lot about her. She proved to be a nice person to be around and with a good attitude towards life. My son Iko describes her as a friendly person, and I can only agree. She is fluent in English, which made it very easy to talk to her about everything, both chatting about life or instructions for work. I admire her courage to do such a long trip on her own. I wish her the best of luck and an amazing time travelling through the world.

I am soo happy to my Israeli friends Roni & Shya who’ve been working with me here. They are very nice and good person , teaching me so much about agriculture and always helping hand. They are also wonderful volunteers, and we’re always on the lookout for good volunteers to join us at my farmhous I really appreciate . I like to say them very thanks.

Naya stayed with us for three weeks to help with dog-sitting and daily house care while we were away, and she was absolutely wonderful. She bonded instantly with our French Bulldog and took amazing care of him — gentle, attentive, and genuinely affectionate. Knowing he was so well looked after gave us complete peace of mind during our trip. At home she was extremely respectful, tidy, and easy to live with. She integrated naturally into our routine and was always thoughtful and considerate. We also had the chance to spend some lovely time together before and after our trip — including a delicious Colombian dinner she cooked for us! It was a real pleasure to learn more about her culture, and she even helped me practise my Spanish. Naya is responsible, caring, independent, and very reliable. We felt fully confident leaving both our dog and our home in her hands. I would absolutely recommend her to any host looking for someone trustworthy and kind. She would be welcome back anytime.

This is an absolutely beautiful spot with incredibly kind people. We enjoyed our time here (~ a week) very, very much. Getting to help with the olive harvest was fascinating and rewarding; we learned so much! We really enjoyed cooking with everyone; the food was delicious and the pantry well-stocked. The dogs and cats were so sweet! Gilberto is a wonderful human and a great host. The area around is gorgeous and very accessible for exploring! Highly recommend this Workaway.

Guillaume spent a month with us in September, and he was such a pleasant person to be around that this time didn't feel long at all. Children loved to spend time with him - Iko tells me that his favourite part was to throw paper planes with Guillaume. He showed us how to enjoy the time without being in a hurry, enjoying quiet moments like morning coffee outside in the garden or camping with his amazing campervan through Estonia. He caught the beauty around him through his lens - he makes great photography, and we got a beautiful selection of pictures from the farm and horses! He loves to invent how to build stuff, and thus he made us a greenhouse structure. We appreciated his help, and we found him to be considerate and helpful. He took time to have a good chat with us, but also enjoyed spending time on his own following his passion for photography. All this made him a great guest. I wish Gillaume the best of luck with his next travels!

Really enjoyed my stay with Mark, Renate and family. It was a very fair exchange and they were grateful for the help around the house and garden I am grateful for their hospitality, nice room and generous food during my 2 week stay. They were also open to helping me with German language which I am thankful for. They have a lovely home in a great location with stunning views of snowcapped mountains. I was able to explore the Carinthia region and was even lucky enough to snowboard on a glacier nearby on an incredible November day. They are also very close to Slovenia, Italy and Croatia so you can explore further afield. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and no doubt we will keep in touch. I wish you luck with future Workaways.
