Help with creative projects at a croft near Tierp, Sweden

  Description

  Renovating a croft with 2000 sqm landscape,stonecellar, stable and additional cottages, origin dating back to 1790. This is the third summer and painting, creating clever solutions with wood, stones and metalmaterials, such as wateringsystems is the plan. I studied applied renovation skills in Gotland once and now how my own DIY project.Not much cultivation has been done, but some fruits, berries and trees are growing and pathways and gates shall be put up so the dog don't get out and the deers won't eat what's growing. The small areas of grass is cut the manual way with a lie gear in order to preserve the flowers natural seeds to grow and attract bees.
  Located in a lovely , living agricultural area 1 h bus/train North of Uppsala/Stockholm. With a clever system connecting trains frequently to the capital you can reach it within 1-2 hours from the croft, depending wich route and money you choose. The cheapest is less than 100SEK! There is electricity and a waterspring, so warm showers can be taken, aswell as modern equipments in a kitchen and streaming good entertainments via the realible internet that we reach through nolimit surf acess from our mobiles, connected to TVscreens. This summer we even brought Bob, the little dishwasher who takes care of glasses and cutlery🙏🏻
  Outdoor loo so far, but hopefully both an indoor one and the sauna can be enjoyed this summer in the lush garden aswell as the pool.
  The main house can host up to 6 extra persons or more in proper beds.
  I will be there all July and a bit more with other members of the family and friends coming now and then. I would like volonteers to stay at least a week but am welcoming shortvisits aswell. Insurance for the EU is required and I provide food in various ways, but don't eat pork myself. I prefer to have a rota on the tasks so that everyone tries different challenges and don't get bored, aswell as taking care of ourselves and eachother in a location that hopefully will leave us with really good experiences🍀
  We understand English and Spanish best, but cats, dogs, deers, birds i e and hedgehogs have no problems communicating so other languages shouldn't be a problem either🏡

  We have relatives in Cuba, Finland, Holland and more and are used to share our home with others from different cultures. The area itself is very local and dates back to a very rich time during the middleages, so if you are interested in "Game of thrones" you can see a lot of remains. In summer many spend their holidays around here, where concerts, lakes, a wellknown zoo & tivoli, fleemarkets and such are taking place.
  Located in beautiful landscape it takes about 15 minutes by bike to reach the busstop from where you can take a bus several times a day until late all days a week.

  Aide

  painting , creative constructing with natural materials as wood, fencing, path making
  but also a lot of time for grilling, sharing experiences, setting up the pool, hopefully getting the sauna going etc. Unfortunately this land is not yet prepared for wheelchairs and persons who come should be able to work physically. We are located in a farstretched village so there are good neigbours in reach but we have our land to ourselves. All legal drugs are allowed, myself like beer but drink it mostly alcoholfree, so I can drive.

  proper beds in houses. Tent can be provided as a tipi if interested. Depending on how many we are, even private rooms can be offered.

  Regional transport runs frequently until late, and you can reach both Uppsala and Stockholm within an hour or two for around 10 euros. We have bikes to use to reach the public transports. I drive a car for shopping in the small town of Tierp with its great library and swimhall, going to a lake for a swim or any other local community.
