  Description

  After a great career in logistics and human resources, we (Tim, 45 years young & Saartje, 41 years young) decided in 2019 to pursue our dreams to the fullest. Our shared love for discovering other cultures, exploring fascinating fauna and flora as well as embracing a new lifestyle as a couple, took us on an incredible journey.
  
  Together, we have been fortunate to see the world in a way that few people will experience. The adventure began with opening the doors of our camper and the freedom to go where our hearts led us. With no set schedules, without hustle. Just us, the open road and endless possibilities for discovery. An intense and wonderful experience! Along the way, we enjoyed countless encounters with truly amazing people, each of whom contributed to how we stand in life today.
  
  Along the way, we worked as a management couple in lodges and hotels in Central Africa Republic, Mozambique and Uganda. By running accommodations in these stunning yet challenging locations, we developed a wide range of skills. The building blocks of our future entrepreneurial dreams were laid!
  
  After all our adventures, we found our home in Portugal in 2023. A beautiful 15 hectare farm with vast views and laid-back charm captured our hearts. Here, we make our dream come true and seize the opportunity to develop sustainable tourism in an eco-friendly setting. A fantastic challenge!

  Cultural exchange is at the heart of the experience. Located in the charming village of Vila Franca da Serra, we offer volunteers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the tranquil Portuguese countryside and its traditions.
  
  Volunteers will interact with our small community, learning about local customs, history, and the way of life in this rural part of Portugal. You’ll have the chance to taste authentic Portuguese dishes and explore nearby historic sites and natural attractions during your free time.
  
  Working alongside other international volunteers fosters a multicultural environment, perfect for sharing stories, traditions, and experiences from all over the world. We encourage meaningful conversations, teamwork, and mutual learning, making your stay not only productive but also culturally enriching.
  
  Whether it’s practicing a new language, enjoying a group meal, or discovering local traditions, your time at our Quinta will be an exchange of ideas and experiences you’ll always remember.

  Aide

  Are you looking for a rewarding experience in the serene Portuguese countryside?
  
  We invite you to join our team for one month of meaningful contribution and cultural exchange! We are currently looking for five volunteers to help with various tasks. As you can see on our website, we do have a touristic business, but the volunteers will not be involved in this project. We would like to work together with our volunteers for our personal needs.
  
  One volunteer will be responsible for preparing daily meals for the group, while four others will assist with a variety of projects, mainly focused on gardening. The work may include physically demanding tasks, but will also be balanced with lighter duties. Building compost bin, making flower beds, weeding, planting and replanting plants, etc.
  
  Food or a weekly food budget will be provided by us, but it will be prepared by a volunteer.
  
  Volunteers will help five days per week, five hours per day. We offer a shared house where all volunteers will stay together, fostering a sense of community. This is a great opportunity to work in a beautiful, natural setting with diverse tasks and projects.
  
  To apply, you must be able to stay for a minimum of two weeks and have a genuine enthusiasm for outdoor activities and teamwork. Please note that we do not allow pets, as we have two cats on the Quinta.

  During your stay at our Quinta, you’ll be accommodated in Casa Rincon, a cozy and comfortable shared house. Casa Rincon offers a welcoming space where you can relax and recharge after a day of work on the property. The house features multiple bedrooms, shared by volunteers, creating a great opportunity to connect with your fellow team members and foster a sense of community.
  
  You’ll have access to a fully equipped kitchen. The common areas offer spaces where you can unwind, share stories, or plan group activities. The house also includes a shared bathroom with hot water and all necessary amenities for your comfort.
  Stay connected during your free time with Wi-Fi access, allowing you to keep in touch with loved ones or catch up on anything you need.
  
  Situated on the property, Casa Rincon is surrounded by peaceful nature, offering the perfect base to experience the charm of the Portuguese countryside while contributing to our exciting projects.
  
  Food or a weekly food buget will be provided by us. The meals will be prepared by a volunteer.
