  Description

  We have a small organic farm in the North of Norway. I'm looking for a person who wants to be responsible for 'feeding the crowd' and mainly inside help.
  In the summer we have many volunteers and visitors. You will also harvest food for our meals from our garden and help maintaining the vegetable garden. We need help mainly in july.
  We do projects with regenerative agriculture, have sheep, chickens, horses and two livly dogs.
  There is lovely nature all around us and we try to respect it and live as sustainable as possible.

  You will meet people from different cultures and if you are interested you can also learn Norwegian.
  
  You will be able to learn about farming in general and organic and regenerative methods.
  
  You will learn to cook for a group of people and harvest food from our own kitchen-garden.
  
  You will life in stunning surroundings at beautiful Balsfjord with possibilities for hikes in the woods and mountains right behind the farm.
  
  There will be discussions about agricultures systems and politics and lively exchange of opinions if you want.
  
  There will be other young people who help with farming tasks and socialize with.

  Aide

  You should be a positive and tolerant person who loves food and don't mind household tasks. You must have at least basic cooking skills. You need to prepare lunch and dinner for 5 - 10 persons every day.
  
  You should love nature and animals. Be open minded for the life on an organic, dynamic and sometimes chaotic farm.
  
  You need to enjoy doing tasks alone mostly, but be ok with living close with others in simple surroundings. You'll be alone responsible to prepare two meals a day (lunch and dinner) and also maintain order in the kitchen, so that we can concentrate on farmwork outside.
  
  If you are interested in gardening, that would be great.
  
  There is also the possibility to take care of our chickens, if you want. If you are interested in carpentry and restoring old buildings, you could help with restoring historic windows f ex.

  Simple guestroom in the main house. Family and volunteers share a bathroom. Low standard in historic building.

  Farm located at the fjord surrounded by beautiful nature. Good possibilities for hiking. Not many busses, 60 km to Tromsø (next city).
