    Description

Hi, we are a queer family, Thiago, Baco and our children Arumã (7y), Sebastiana (4y) and Mar (nb)

We work with the creation of gardens and backyards, production and processing of food and also natural medicinal products.
Caring for children has also been a major focus of our family, promoting direct contact with nature, the sea, rivers and invented toys.
We are building our dream place in the middle of the forest.
In this moment we are building our bioconstructed home mainly with wood and clay, where we pick water directly from the source and use only biodegradable products. In the bathroom we use a dry toilet and all our organic waste is composted.
Around the house, we are creating, in the middle of the forest, an edible agroforestry garden with several species.

    Aide

Right now we need people who are especially interessed in:
    - taking care of the children and the house
    - syntropic agriculture
    - bioconstruction and cob building

About children: Teaching new skills, playing, taking care of basic needs, having rides, and giving full atention for some hours.

About the house: maintenance of the house, which involves keeping the house clean and organized, washing dishes, keeping the bathroom clean (removing the bucket from the dry bathroom daily), taking care of the compost and help with cooking.

About the garden: heavy work such as digging, breaking earth, treading clay, planting, hummus production, harvesting and processing food

We are surrounded by a beautiful and majestic forest that requires attention, there are all kinds of animals, come prepared to contemplate but also to respect all their beings. The safety of each one is done in self-responsibility, equipment such as long boots (wellies) is necessary in our region, and long clothes and socks to protect against mosquitoes.

In this very moment we can't provide food (and one of the goals with volunterring is to increase food production to provide food in the future). So we offer 2 options: the volunteer buy their own food or they can give a weekly contribution and we go to the fair and market (wich is easier because we are 40km far from the city and can bring yo them).
In both cases, just vegetarian food and
not to bring ultra processed food, the volunteers have a separated kitchen and are responsable to cook their own meals.

  • Hébergement

    Hébergement

The volunteers stay in a dome, wich is completely separated from our house with open bathroom and kitchen.
Inside the dome would be the bedroom, wich is shared, with 1 couple bed and 1 couple maitress in the floor. The volunteer can bring their own maitress

The house is in direct contact with nature, with many plants around which attracts insects and many birds, come with an open mind to interact with nature, both with butterflies and mosquitoes!

Being here is being in contact with the exuberance of nature. Free time is time to explore and be amazed by the beauty of this place. Sertão de Ubatumirim has several rivers and waterfalls and a breathtaking forest. We are close to the highway that takes us to several idyllic beaches. Municipal bus is the best form of transport and stops a few meters from the house, but we also usually give and receive rides.
