  Description

  We are a private English school located in the city of Quillabamba, 5 hours north of Cusco
  and only about 2 hours north of Machu Picchu. One of the key teaching objectives is to have students to interact with teachers from other countries if you have teaching experience, have worked with children or english teaching . The teaching hours are from monday to friday.
  There are no other English schools in the area so we provide a needed service to the people of Quillabamba.
  The ability to speak English will allow the children and adults of Quillabamba to participate and get better oportunities , and ultimately provide for their families better than they could otherwise. To provide a more stable environment for learning, we can only accept volunteers who are able to stay 1 month or more.

  A private room with 2 beds, a courtyard, and your own bathroom and shower and kitchen facilities There is free wifi as well as a computer lab available for use.
  
  WHAT ELSE
  Quillabamba (known as The City of Eternal Summer for its perfect tropical weather) is a beautiful community, filled with friendly people. You will have the chance to meet locals who may invite you to go on hikes to some of the dozens of waterfalls in the area, go swimming in one of the 5 pools in town, enjoy the weekend festivities, go shopping at one of the twice-weekly farmers markets, take a weekend trip to Machu Picchu or the natural hot springs of Santa Teresa, or sample some of the coffee and chocolate that Quillabamba is famous for. The town is surrounded by small family farms where they grow oranges, bananas, tomatos, avocados, pineapples, mangos, coconuts, papayas, cacao, coffee, and much much more.
  While we do not require that the volunteers speak spanish, it is recommended to know some basic Spanish in order to communicate more easily with your students. In addition to Spanish classes, you have the opportunity for a full Peruvian immersion which is great for those looking to learn or improve Spanish as well as those people who are looking for a cultural exchange.

  We offer free accommodation a nice room with a private bathroom, breakfast, lunch and kitchen facilities. on same occasions the room will have to be shared with another volunteer.

  We are located 3 hours from Machupicchu and 4 hours from Cusco. If you are coming from Cusco you can take a public bus (S/.30 Soles) or a private car S/. 50 Soles). We are surrounded by lots of beautiful nature, waterfalls and treks which can be explored in your mornings before work or on your days off. If you are looking for a true cultural experience, Quillabamba is the place to come.
