    Description

Several years ago we found this piece of land with an old settlement.  Our life here started with a tent and cooking meals over a bonfire until We made the barn livable and right now we are spending our 4th winter in it. Another standing barn we are about to turn into a ceramic workshop with extra sleeping spaces. The old house is inhabited by our 5 goats but we plan to move them out and turn it into a library and apothecary in the near future. There are several other foundations of old houses that we wish to rebuild. Lots of construction in front of us!
We are on a never ending learning path together with our kids. They are free range/ unschooling/ self led education if categorized :) we try not to. They are very communicable English speakers: Jean Paul, Dafne, Sasha (around ages 4,6,9 in 2024).
We live in Transilvania's Apuseni mountains. This region is rich in minerals and wildlife. We are pretty isolated and our closest neighbors all have similar lifestyles. We have huge territories to roar around, several water sources on property, forests ocasally full of mushrooms and old orchards. Last year we started beekeeping and we see great potential in it since we are surrounded by mountain flora and black locust forests. We have several pillars to earn our income that we want to develop: herbal medicine, bee keeping, cheese making, kiln building, ceramics, gardening, seedlings and saplings. George occasionally works in IT to supplement our income, but overall we want to try getting our income locally. Good food is a very essential part of our lifestyle. We made our first garden before we had a safe place to move in. We have been expanding gardens ever since lots of our creation follows permaculture ideas. We use mainly no digging methods to conquer new territories. We like hugel beds and we are looking forward to progressing with the food forest for the future. We are looking for a way to establish divercity to become more independent on the same crops since weather has proven to be especially unreliable lately. We hope to grow food for our animals (goats, chickens) locally as well. We are looking for a path to balance more towards hunters/gathering style than agricultural.
We appreciate many little things that help us to raise our awareness about our body and minds like sauna and swimming in pond all year round, endless walks. we try to look more closely into sun and moon cycles, celebrate solstice and admire the full moon. have new beginnings by the new moon and moments of gratitude in between.
This year we have specially many building projects. We start with the toilet and then there is the green house, chickens coop, goats house in the line. some extra rooms, a huge roof over the main building, a workshop...well, its endless! For building we use as many local materials as possible wood, cob, stones are our basics! So far we have done more preservation work. We are skilled in gardening, kiln building, IT(George), ceramic art/design/craft (Dina). We are currently keep learning about goat keeping, beekeeping, grafting, woodbuilding, natural pounds, chickens and other domesticated birds, rabbits, basements, mushroom growing(we have our first shiitake logs), jewelry making, rock polishing, fermentation, green smoothies, yoga and other practices...
We recently have formulated our intentions about the future community and we are open for long term relationships/extended family/community however it would come and would feel good. To create and enjoy creation together. Someone to shear with. To sink deep in this place and time we are given on earth. Heal. Ask and we will tell you more.
small note: We moved from the city because we love to be in nature, we are not running from something, we don't believe in a global government spreading diseases, poisoning us from planes or through 5G or stuff like that.

They will be in very authentic environment. Close to the border with actually being fully in nature. Very real reality, how we sometimes like to call it. They will be able to absorb and participate in reality of biggening of homestead/community, challenge they own powers, embrace the nature and have possibility to develop life long relationships, togetherness and creation.
We love to shear all we learn about systems that gives us comfort( solar system, water heating, kiln building, water management), wild life what surrounds us, creations we looking forwards to.
