Description
We are a German and American family who has lived in many countries with our five children. We now have a large country house where we live, 5 minutes by bike to the historic village center of Fuveau, There are time periods where Peter or Tanja must travel, but in early November is a time when both would travel, with Peter away for three days while Tanja already has a longer voyage planned. Less an au pair, more we need someone to drive the kids those days to and from school and sports. If one wants to stay longer there are opportunities to contributing with gardening ass well. Bonus points if someone is experienced with dogs.
You’ll have your own separate space using a guest house on the property.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We’re a lively family with five kids who love sports, camping, hiking, museums, historic sites, and local festivals. The children speak four languages, have already traveled widely (our oldest has been to 30+ countries), and are very open and curious with new people.
Workawayers are welcome to join us in our activities and everyday family life. We’re happy to share local culture, history, and our own experiences, and we look forward to learning from your culture and creating meaningful exchanges together.Aide « au pair »

Aide
We need someone to drive the kids back and forth to school and after school activities, most urgently for three days in early November, but a longer stay is also possible.
Bonus if you can help with small repairs or are interested in helping me with some projects in the garden, but priority is being a safe and reliable driver for the kids.Langues

Open to a variety of languages but on a day-to-day basis we speak mostly English at home, but the kids go to school in French and Tanja speaks to them in German. Bonus if a German speaker could help the older ones with their German writing!Hébergement
Depending on the timing, either a separate bedroom with its own outside entrance, but a shared bathroom, or out studio guesthouse which has its own bathroom, kitchenette and living room even.

We have bikes you can borrow, and there is a bus line to go into Aix en Provence. We are 15 minutes by car to Aix-en-Provence, a major tourist center, 30 minutes to the center of France's 2nd largest city, Marseille, and 30 minutes by car to beaches. From our window you see Saint Victoire Mountain, popular for hiking, and there are even hiking trails that pass through our neighborhood.
