Hello from sunny Spain! ☀️
We are Henk and Yael, a friendly and open-minded couple in our 60s. We met many years ago on a kibbutz in Israel (Yael grew up there, Henk is Dutch), and after a life full of travel and living in different countries, we’ve now settled on our finca just outside Almoradí.
Our home is in a peaceful rural setting, yet close to everything: a lively town with all amenities is just a few minutes away, the beach is 20 minutes, and Alicante airport about 30 minutes.
Like many fincas, ours is a beautiful work in progress, and we would love some help to continue shaping the house and garden. The tasks are varied and depend on the season, but typically include:
• Gardening and outdoor maintenance
• Small DIY and repair projects
• General help around the property
Nothing too heavy, and keep a relaxed and flexible rhythm.
You will stay in a comfortable, well-equipped luxury caravan on the property, offering your own private space. Of course, you are welcome to enjoy the garden and swimming pool, and we’re happy to share meals, stories, and good moments together.
We offer a warm, respectful atmosphere and really enjoy the cultural exchange that comes with hosting Workawayers. This is a great place if you like nature, sunshine, and a peaceful environment, while still being close to the sea and town life.

Almoradi is very close and it is really Spanish city with on Saturday wonderful market.
Where we live is a beautiful place for hiking.

Spent 1.5 weeks with Yael and Henk on their beautiful piece of Almograve.

I do not know who was happiest with Lenka, the garden or I . We both really enjoyed having Lenka at our place.
The knowledge Lenka have about gardening is amazing.
Lenka is good person for a good tolk on many subjects.. and a good laugh.
I do hope Lenka will come back one day.. she more then welcome.

This was my first experience of work away I am unsure if I can have a more enjoyable experience. Most of my work was in construction. Building. Tiling. Carpentry plumbing etc. and there was lots to do. It was important to be self motivated. And both Yael and Hank are hard working so they kinda expect the same in return. Very lucky to come back again this year. Yael & Henk are such lovely, honest & genuine people who have become my friends. The accommodation, location & amazing food prepared by Yael are second to none! Had another amazing hike and trip to the coast with the other work aways….thanks to Henk! You will be hard pushed to find better hosts 😁

We stayed with Yael for a week spontaneously to help with the join in tables. We mainly did the cleaning and washing up afterwards.
During our stay we slept in our camper, which we could easily park on the property (electricity available).
We felt very comfortable, Yael is a great host and the food was always delicious! 🥰

We spent a wonderful month with Yael and Henk. They are great people. We were really satisfied with the accommodation, the food situation and we very much enjoyed the work. In case we are in the area again one day we will be happy to do another workaway there. Cheers Angelika & Reinhard

Angelica and Reinhard are helpful and very hard workers. The both are well skilled in what the did. Angelica help me with the join in table.. livingroom restaurant and Rey build the most beautiful staircase from wood, also a pergola for the caravan.
It was a pleasure having them as Workaway, guests.

We had a great time in Almoradi. Yael is very talkative, a good cook and her world is food.

Andreas and Stephanie been at our place for about 1 month.
The are very pleasant company, is really nice having them around.. Copa too.
Andreas is handyman, can fix anything.
Stephanie is good cook en really good cake baker.
Both of them are good gardeners and with good ideas.
