Help us and enjoy a small and green Alpine valley in Trentino, Italy

  Description

  Help us with some beekeeping and family gardens on the South-West mountains of Trentino. Location situated in a small village surrounded by forests. People speak Italian here, I speak English fluently and intermediate German; many young around speak some English. No business help required but simply gardening, planting trees, animal care and language exchange; home help like cooking welcomed as well. We also brew beer and mead (professionally) if someone is interested in learning it (no business help required for this). I'm a software developer but I've run my apiary now for 20 years now (since I was 20). Workawayers will be hosted in the family house (fully renovated in the 1990s), cozy and comfortable, with internet access and all appliances available to them. The farm's beekeeping/brewing laboratory (no business help required there) and family garden are 2.5 km away from the house. Outdoors are beautiful and wild because the villages and gardens/fields are located in a small Alpine valley.

  they can learn beekeeping, I offer to teach Italian and English language. Like to improve my German skills (B2). Gardening and beekeeping being our historical activities (I'm a sw developer and do this in my spare time) we also brew beer and mead and if someone is interested in learning how to do it we can share knowledge (chemistry, processing, ecc). We have fields in the mountains where we do some reforestation so this can be an interesting insight as well.

  clarifying the link with the small family farm: the small farm is active but no work is required by workawayers. What we require is gardening and home help, the farm own the fields but there is no request to work in the farm as reforestation and gardening is not part of the farm business. we do not sell the garden products (it's for our own consumption only).

  helpers can to enjoy the wild outdoor with the many sports practiced around here (Valdaone). bouldering, trekking, no-kill fishing (we can share tutor advice and some material), biking, ski mountaineering during the winter. Mushroom collection during the summer and fall. Some birdwatching absolutely possible and the presence of wolves, bears, deers and roe deers, foxes, chamois, badgers and many other animals make walking in the wild an adventure. we can share knowledge of paths and observation spots.Val di Fumo is one of the most famous spots around here, but there are the many lakes that can be visited as well. The local cycle path can connect to Lago d'Idro and Val Rendena and we can provide a bike. This location is ideal for who likes outdoors activities in the mountains. Nearby (13 km, lago d'Idro) there is during summer a kite surf school and paragliding school for who can be interested. The village hosts some tourism during the Summer (very low impact, just a few dozens) so walking in the forests is a great experience for who loves tranquility and relaxation in the green.
