Rosemary was amazing! She's such a warm and nice person, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I stayed for 6 days in October 2023, and I would have gladly stayed longer if I didn't already have other plans.
The accommodation was great. Her house is lovely, and I essentially had a whole wing all to myself. I had my own room and bathroom, both of

As for what I did, there was some yard work that I did whenever we had a nice day. I mowed part of her lawn with a weed wacker (I kept having to re-charge the weed wacker, and it would start raining while the battery was charging, hence me only cutting part of it), planted some flowers, did some weeding, and used a leaf blower to clean up leaves. There was also indoor cleaning. At the time, she was dealing with a moth infestation, so I did a lot of vacuuming and moth-prevention techniques. I also did some mopping and organization. The expectations were clearly set, and Rosemary had a list that she would add to as the week went along, so I always knew what I could be doing. She was very flexible with when I got stuff done. I had a few obligations while I was there, and she was happy for me to go off and do those things, and just do the chores around them.
The house is in a cute little village, with grocery stores (and a few shops, cafes, pubs, etc.) within walking distance. There's also the greenway, which is a really pretty walk. Buses to Waterford are pretty easy to take if you want more of a city-vibe. Rosemary also made an effort to give me cultural experiences. She took me to Dungarvan one day, so I got to experience the seaside and wander around that town for a bit. She also made me traditional Irish meals, and suggested fun things that I could do when I went into Waterford. I'm working on a knitting project at the moment, and she was happy to help out, showing me some of her knitted jumpers and old knitting books that she had. She has also been incredibly helpful in helping me source accommodation in other areas in Ireland and even the UK. She truly can, and will, help you in whatever way you need.
I cannot recommend Rosemary highly enough. Thank you for everything Rosemary!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
