I stayed at the eco village for 10 days and I really enjoyed my time there and had fun! Andrew is such a lovely person and I learned new skills and knowledges about permacolture, community living and more. The place is peaceful and surrounded by nature so it's perfect to relax. I also enjoyed the game nights and partecipating to the community

I stayed with Andrew on the property at Maleny for a week. Andrew was very well organised with tasks that needed doing each day. I assisted with weeding and house painting. The principles of sustainability and low carbon footprint used on the property are a refreshing change from the surrounding urban planning. The property is in a beautiful

Yamile (Jamie) and her brother (Josiah) and mum, Veronica spent a week with us. They are an absolute delight. Curious to learn and interesting.
I’ll have them back if you can’t :)
The village is thoughtfully designed to blend with its surroundings while fostering connection within the community. We also learned valuable survival tips for living close to nature—stamping our feet to ward off snakes, shaking out shoes before putting them on, and checking for spiders in our bedding. Birds alerted us to the presence of snakes, and we gained a deeper appreciation for the trees and their role in regenerating the land and supporting ecosystems.
Thank you, Andrew, for welcoming our family into your wonderful community! This experience has opened our eyes to the beauty of living sustainably and the need to care for our planet in a meaningful way. Thank you for sharing this incredible journey with us.

Despite an extraordinary amount of rain it was an enriching experience being at the Eco-Village, There was a small but interesting mix of people (and visitors) which generated indepth discussions, fun games, varied jobs, musical evenings and some outings to town and local markets. I really valued immersion in Non-violent communication as it added a
… read more different perspective to my years of counselling. I appreciated that this communication was used when working on resolving differences in needs. It was also helpful in supporting personal growth. I felt very appreciated for jobs done and recognised for my creativity. Swimming in the dam was especially lovely. I was a bit dissapointed there was not a more active food garden/permaculture focus but certainly loved the bush regeneration and living in such a natural way. I was hugely impressed with the lack of waste and recycling. What a great example of how to walk lightly on the earth. Many thanks Andrew, Claire and Tammy for hosting me and the others that were there at the time.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

I had such an amazing and fulfilling time at EVA! pen, jorg, claire, andrew, beans, and mischa were so warm and accomodating. I enjoyed a laid back week gardening, joining a work party, taking an edible weeds workshop where i later gathered chickweed and made pesto! I also came at a time when Andrew & Claire were campaigning for the Greens which

We enjoyed communal dinners and games and they were always open to discuss any topic and answer any questions i had about the eco village. I thought volunteerinf ar an up and coming eco village in its beginning stages provided a very informative perspective on what it is like to get the ball up and running. We were ablw to visit crystal waters and i fell in love woth the beautiful town of Maleny. The week provided me with an unknown at the time, but completely vital reset to my life. I cannot wait to come back and help out again as well as catch up with these amazing souls. Andrew and Claire have the brightest hearts, we stayed a short 3 nights in their cozy tent but learned a huge amount from them about living sustainably, educating others and building community. I spend 2 weeks in october at the Eco village. I build a few little things and learn to use a few tools. I was sleeping in a tent with a good bed matress. It was fun to be outdoor and surrendent by the birds, bat and weather. Beeing in a tent was more intresting and

The place is close from town (12 mins walk) through a very cute mini forest along the river. Maleny is a cute Hippie vibe town. People there are smiling, kind, social and they have cool style ! There is a very good organic coffee place. There is a tatoo in town. it is around 20-30 minutes away drive from very beautiful beaches !! :D
