Help me take care of a small wood on the mainland of Venice, Italy

  Description

  Hello, I am Laura and I live in a small city close to Venice and I often go to my family place in the countryside (or what has been left of a countryside!) in the mainland, where I take care of a field which now has grown into a small wood, full of young oaks, walnut trees and bushes. I like exchaning cultural views about nature and about art (and both together!).

  The workawayer can connect with me, my family, my friends and some neighbours. I will be very pleased to share my personal attitude towards the countryside, the landscape and the urban worlds! I will be happy to exhange ideas about art too.

  Aide

  I would like to welcome a workaway to help me take care of some winter tasks in the wood, that is taking ivy away from some trunks, managing weeds, opening a path into the wood, gardening etc. The wood is essentialy building itself without any intervention from anyone, so I would just do some minor actions. I have no specific technical competence in doing so and I rather rely on an overall knowledge of ecosystemic processes, an aesthetic and artistic attitude and...intuition! Everything will be done manually, without any motor tool!

  Hébergement

  The workawayer will be lodged in my flat (2 people ordinarily living but my flatmate will be on holiday at that moment). A comfortable sofa-bed is available in the dining room. Unfortunately I have no private sleeping space at my flat, but any precaution will be used to respect private space (also bear in mind that the stay will be short!). The flat has a spatious dining room, a small kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Another accommodation at my family's house in the countryside might be available (tbc) and there private rooms are available .
  
  I will be happy to preprare and share meals with the workawayer and I will also enjoy cooking together at my place!

  Autres infos...

  The workawayer can visit Venice in half-an-hour tram ride from my flat (in case the accommodation in the countryside is available Venice can be reached in a 50-minites bus ride. In the coutryside a lot of trails are available, both on foot and by bycicle (a byclicle is available).
