  Description

  We are Ali, Michael and our daughter 4 year old daughter Bonnie. Currently operating a small market garden from our home in Jilliby on the NSW Central Coast. We grow a mix of seasonal veggies and sell to a few markets, restaurants and other outlets. Bonnie loves hanging out with our workers in the garden and I'm sure she will warm to you too.
  
  Running our own business sucks all of our time to do the regular property maintenance and household stuff and we are looking for someone to help out with tasks around our private home rather than the business. Things like mowing, wipper snippering, cleaning, general tidying etc. We are also in the process of building a shed with living quarters upstairs so any trades would be welcome to assist with fitting it out once it's up.
  
  Our 2.5 acre property overlooks a large dam where you can see pelicans on the water, or wedge tailed eagles and sea eagles soaring overhead. In the spring and autumn we are blessed with the most gorgeous sunsets as the property faces west.
  
  Jilliby is only 10min drive from Wyong where there are some shops and a train station, 15min to Tuggerah where there is a shopping centre and under 15 minutes to the freeway to travel further distances. We're 30minutes drive from the coast if you like to swim or surf. Across the road from our property is a lovely forest with trails for walking or bike riding.

  We are members of Central Coast Permaculture, a group that meets up monthly for a gathering, they also do working bees at other peoples properties. We would look to take our workaways to these gatherings where practical. We attend a bustling farmers market every Sunday where you could soak up the local vibes. Another market in a rather sleepy town is situated in a really nice part of the coast where Ali usually has a dip in the ocean before heading home.
  We have been running our market garden since 2019 and would be willing to share any knowledge and experience with have with market gardening and business ownership.
  We welcome travellers and are keen to hear about their cultures and how they do things. Ali loves cooking so she is always open to trying new things and utilising the produce from the garden. It would be great for Bonnie to meet more people from around the world too!

  General gardening tasks including mowing, wipper snippering, weeding and mulching.
  Housework could include cleaning, laundry and general maintenance.
  There may be random tasks that come up from time to time.
  We are currently building a shed so any help with that would be appreciated.

  Hébergement

  Accommodation will be in a camper trailer with one double bed (In between a tent and a caravan). There is a camp kitchen with the camper trailer however you would be welcome to join us for any meals.
  
  We are in the process of building a shed with living quarters (fully contained). So for now, the bathroom and kitchen will be shared with us in our home.
  
  Anyone with a van is welcome. Caravan parking is limited at the moment with the shed build but depending on the size we may be able to work something out.
  
  I bake sourdough regularly so almost always have fresh bread on hand, and we always have some form of produce from the garden available, either in the fridge or out in the garden.

  We have 2 cars so as long as you have a drivers license you may be permitted to drive locally if need be considering our distance from public transport.
  
  We have a dog who is super friendly.
  
  Generally we have shoes off inside.
  
  We try to live with a small footprint to the environment, so have solar and a battery to help us reduce our usage from the grid. We are also on tank water so please be mindful with water usage.
  
  Please no smoking inside the house or the camp trailer. We would prefer non-smokers.
  
  There is a large unfenced dam and a natural swimming pool so young children must be confident swimmers or have an adult with them at all times.

  We have wifi on the property, mobile reception is tricky at times though. Wifi calling works well though. There is a small study in the house which is occupied on Wednesdays but most other days it is free to use. There is a printer and a desk with our personal computer (not for guest use).

  There is a semi-private and almost level spot accessible by car (a little rough, and if it has been raining lots the access becomes boggy). Otherwise you could park on the driveway or near about on a level spot. Currently we can offer camper trailer or BYO accommodation only.

  We surround horse properties so if you're bringing animals, they need to stay on our property and be social with other dogs as we have one very friendly (sometimes too much at times) dog. We don't have any fenced yards for stock. Only domestic animals can be accommodated.
