Hi there!
We are looking for a Spanish-speaking female au pair (20 years or older) to join our family in the Pyrenees. We’d love to find someone who enjoys nature, is friendly and easy-going, loves spending time with young children, and appreciates a calm lifestyle.
We are a traditional Dutch family who moved three years ago to a small mountain village (1,500 meters above sea level). We have a piece of land where we’re building an off-grid house, and for now, we live in a spacious home in the village. There are several restaurants and small shops nearby. A ski slope is close by, and the nearest big city is a two-hour drive away.. we live quite remote!
We love mountain life and the peace and simplicity it brings.
We have two daughters, almost 4 and 2 years old. We homeschool, eat organic whole foods (not vegetarian), practice gentle parenting, enjoy nature and hiking, and most of all, we live outside the “rat race.”
Every week we see what we feel like doing,we love a flexible rhythm. I’m a stay-at-home mother and truly enjoy spending time with the children. Since we speak Dutch at home, our daughters mainly hear and speak Spanish when we’re with friends.
To help them learn Spanish naturally, we’re looking for an au pair who’d like to spend about 20 hours a week with them.
Caring/doing activities for the children is your main focus, I will take care of most of the other tasks myself.
The au pair will have a large private bedroom with a wardrobe, and if you’d like, an extra room with a desk. You can also borrow a car for trips or outings.

Buscamos una au pair hispanohablante (mujer de 20 años o más) para unirse a nuestra familia en los Pirineos. Nos encantaría encontrar a alguien que disfrute de la naturaleza, sea amable, tranquila, le gusten los niños pequeños y valore un estilo de vida sencillo y relajado.
Somos una familia neerlandesa tradicional que se mudó hace tres años a un pequeño pueblo de montaña, a 1.500 metros de altitud. Tenemos un terreno donde estamos construyendo una casa autosuficiente (off-grid) y, por ahora, vivimos en una casa amplia en el pueblo. En el pueblo hay varios restaurantes y pequeñas tiendas. La pista de esquí está cerca, y la ciudad grande más cercana está a unas dos horas en coche… ¡vivimos realmente en plena montaña!
Nos encanta la vida en la montaña y la paz y simplicidad que aporta.
Tenemos dos hijas, de casi 4 y 2 años. Educamos en casa, comemos alimentos ecológicos (no somos vegetarianos), practicamos la crianza respetuosa, disfrutamos de la naturaleza y las caminatas, y sobre todo, vivimos fuera del ritmo acelerado de la “vida moderna”.
Cada semana decidimos lo que queremos hacer, nos gusta llevar un ritmo flexible. Soy madre a tiempo completo y disfruto muchísimo del tiempo con las niñas. En casa hablamos neerlandés, así que nuestras hijas escuchan y hablan español principalmente cuando estamos con amigos.
Para ayudarles a aprender español de manera natural, buscamos una au pair que quiera pasar unas 20 horas semanales con ellas.
Tu función principal será cuidar y hacer actividades con las niñas; yo me encargo de la mayoría de las demás tareas.
La au pair dispondrá de una habitación grande y privada con armario, y si lo desea, de una habitación adicional con escritorio. También podrá usar un coche para hacer excursiones o salidas.
