  Description

  Since we plan to be abroad in July for a few weeks ,we would need you to commit to arriving a day or two before we depart for a smooth transition.
  
  We are a family of four (two adults, two college-age kids) and are looking for a female cat-lover to stay here while we are abroad. We will only be here during your first few days and then again when we return from our trip (you are welcome to stay here for up to two extra overnightsafter our return)

  Get to know northern Arizona, its landscapes and attractions, peoples and cultures. During your ca. 3 week-long stay you can practice your language (if you are learning English or Navajo) , interact with locals, visit the Navajo Nation, hike and explore in and around Flagstaff and northern Arizona.

  Cat-sitting and house sitting!
  
  We need a mature, responsible, quiet and peaceful female cat-lover to stay with our 3 cats while we are abroad for a few weeks. The ideal candidate will be a guaranteed non-smoker, no drugs of any kind, no parties whatsoever type of person
  
  If you have cat allergies or if you don't absolutely love love love cats, this may not be the right fit for you.
  
  Our cats are very sweet and extremely low-maintenance , but that doesn't mean we want them to feel alone or ignored. They need love, genuine attention and above & beyond care along with fresh food and water every day. The litter box needs to be scooped 3 times per day. No other specific skills needed aside from a desire to snuggle and bond with the cats. We provide all the cat food needed during that time.
  
  You get our house all to yourself, which includes your private room, stocked kitchen, filled fridge, Wifi, TV, free use of washer and dryer, hundreds of books on our bookshelves, backyard with hammock and free use of an e-bike. Our ideal candidate would vacuum the house twice a week (litter box area might need it daily) mop every week, and in general keep the space as tidy as we leave it. (I'm clean but not over-the-top-obsessive-clean, if you know what I mean)
  
  Our ideal candidate does not fry greasy things in the kitchen. Oven-baking and light pan frying in a covered pan is okay, but no deep-frying of foods or splattering oil or butter or grease.
  
  Having your own car is highly recommended /would be ideal, but it's not required. We can pick you up from Flagstaff airport or the bus stop in downtown Flagstaff. While you are here, you may go on daytrips and hikes, travel and explore northern Arizona and southern Utah (Being away from the house and the cats for a day is totally okay. But we wouldn't want our cats to be alone for more than a 14 hr stretch of time ).
  
  Grand Canyon, Sedona, Monument Valley, Lake Powell and the Navajo Nation, there are soo many gorgeous places to visit nearby. We ask that no visitors whatsoever (no friends, relatives, buddies, lovers, or family members) stay with you or visit you at our home, absolutely no parties or get-togethers or celebrations take place at our house and that no one aside from you stays overnight. (Happy to discuss an alternative to the one-person limit, such as if you are two sisters or two best friends wishing to do this workaway together.)

  There are so many beautiful places you can reach from Flagstaff by car: Sedona's magical red rock landscape in 40 minutes, several National Monuments (Walnut Canyon and Wupatki) in less than an hour, 90 minutes to the Grand Canyon, 2 hours to Antelope Canyon in Page AZ. Flagstaff has a vibrant downtown with shops, eateries, a great bookshop, a world-renown Observatory and a museum.
  
  About your free time, which is basically all the time: We ask that no visitors whatsoever (friends, relatives, family members) stay with you or visit you at our home, absolutely no parties or get-togethers or celebrations take place at our house and that no one aside from you stays overnight.
  
  We are also happy to discuss an alternative to the one-person limit, such as if you are two sisters or two best friends wishing to do this workaway together.

  Willo, Maddie and Jillian

  3 cats. One of them domestic tabby, two of them: long-haired norwegian forest cat. They are very sweet, very people-friendly and want their human caretaker to be someone with an exceptionally quiet voice, soft body language, patience, and a genuine love of cats. They might want to sleep on your bed, snuggle with you on the sofa, and ask for treats in the evening
