Description

I am renovating a beautiful old farmhouse in the village of Arbos in Catalonia. I have vineyards, olive trees, fruit trees, a vegetable garden and chickens. I also have a friendly dog named Wilma.
I am a gay man and welcome people of all ethnicities and backgrounds. If you have difficulties with either gay people or animals this project is not suitable for you.

I speak English as a first language and I speak Spanish at a good level.
I have a range of skills to share (and maybe learn some too from the work away visitors) I can offer language exchange/practice. General DIY, gardening etc. I am also keen on cooking vegetarian meals from the garden produce. I like to spend time conserving food as well. I am also expanding the rain water collection systems and also building irrigation solutions for the vegetable garden.
I grow a lot of fruit and vegetables, eat eggs from the chickens and olive oil from my own trees.

I am looking for help with seasonal projects such as tending to the fruit trees as well as regular daily jobs such as caring for the chickens and the vegetable garden.

The village of Arbos with 5.500 people is literally 5 minutes walk away. It has a train station with connections to Barcelona. The town of Sitges is 30 minutes drive away.
I am a friendly and respectful person. I ask that anyone visiting my home treats me and my home with respect. I will do the same to my guests.

It was lovely meeting Chezy. He worked hard, he cooked great food and he taught me how to play some new card games! I found him easy company and he looked after the farm for 3 nights as I had to visit family in Norway at short notice. I spent two weeks at Tom's lovely farm house. The communication with Tom was very open respectful and sincere.
