Franzisca was excellent. She fitted into our household very well, and very quickly. She is easy intelligent company. Franzisca is a really hard worker and managed her jobs with little or no supervision . She finished jobs to a high standard.
She was very interested in our community and in local culture and politics.
I highly recommend her to any

Janet and David are such lovely people. From the beginning they were welcoming me with open arms. Janet really loves to cook, and she did such a fabulous job in catering my vegan needs. David plays guitar and both are very passionate about politics and we had many lengthy discussions about New Zealand and Germany and the US, etc... In the evenings

Unfortunately, during my two weeks there, there were no Maori events on, but they tried to satisfy my interest by telling me as much as they knew themselves. Once they even took me sailing on their boat and Janet even organized me some local paid garden work and they introduced me to other backpackers. I did mostly garden work, my preference, and a little work inside. I had my own room and everything. Rawene as a town is not super interesting, and it's a little tricky to go on outdoor adventures from there unless you have a car. But, contrary to what the profile says (at the time I'm writing this), there is a bus connection from Kerikeri with Buslink that doesn't show up on Google Maps and it goes twice a week. Just ask the driver nicely if they can drop you in town and they most certainly will.
All in all, it was a beautiful experience, so different from what I expected but I'm so glad to have met such lovely people in such a remote place. Thank you so much :))

Vici was a fabulous worker and great company in our home. She managed her own work well, was thorough and thoughtful and used her initiative. Vici is very easy going and fitted into our household very well. We highly recommend her and would have her back any time.

I had a great time staying with Janet and David. Their home is very cozy and I got to enjoy some delicious food. They have great humour and I felt very welcome.
I liked the work in the garden. It wasn't too hard and it was nice to see a difference afterwards.
I also got to meet their grandkids and they were just the sweetest.

Janet and David were absolutely lovely and welcoming. The stay with them was an amazing experience, I learned plenty of skills ans work very reasonable hours, as well as sharing the day to day life and delicious food with them.
They generously invited me in their community, which was a great way to learn the kiwi culture.
I definitely make new
