  Description

  I currently need a cat sitter from around September 22nd to mid October.
  
  Repainting my house in summer months. Also potentially looking after my cat whilst im away in autumn / winter months.
  
  I am an English woman learning Swedish and learning how to renovate my 1930's home in the beautiful Swedish countryside, right by a forest and 10mins from a huge lake to swim and paddle board in. Ideally im looking for a couple or a woman to stay as I live alone, plus I only have one room to offer you right now. As the house develops there will be more space for more people, or two friends to have their own rooms.

  If we get on and you like the place, you can then stay whilst i'm working in London and have the place to yourself for most of July, the best summer month in Sweden. Just feed and cuddle my cat, borrow my paddle board and car if you need it and keep painting if we haven't finished the house yet.

  Aide

  First of all, its really important that you have a drivers licence, as Im in the countryside and you need a car. It might be the case that you use my car whilst im away (or share it with me whilst we are there together) but you do need to drive to be able to get food. I had a lovely workaway that didn't drive, but just stocked up on food and stayed home for 10 days, which is also fine, but its something to keep in mind.
  
  Next time I need a cat sitter is end of September until mid October 2026. Id like to go away for a good 3 - 4 weeks. Also over December /January id like to go away. Its really not a time to renovate. The most important thing is to have a home and cat sit. As that is the case in the winter, id cover the very high heating bills but id need you to provide your own food. You could help yourself to whatever is there, but I wouldn't afford to also give you a food budget as the power bill shoots up and you'd just be living at my house, not working.

  Hébergement

  It's a beautiful 1930s traditional wooden house with a huge balcony and conservatory, land all around and plenty of corners to read and rest. I have a downstairs room for you with a very cosy Ikea corner couch sofa bed. Otherwise, if I have it finished in time, or if you help me with it, you can have the attic with more space and double futon. I just need to paint it and buy the futon! It has electricity up there.

  You can go on hikes, go swimming in the lake, paddleboard, go to Gothenburg about 1.25hrs away for city life.

  I work remotely for a London based company. I have great wifi. I am absolutely happy for you to be working remotely in whatever other work you have. I am flexible around your work needs and being able to help me paint the house or renovate. I will need to work also, so we can figure out a win win situation together.

  Espace pour garer des vans

  I have a really big parking area in front of my house. I have electricity in my barn next to where you would park also if you need to plug in. You can of course still wash clothes, cook, rest or do whatever you need in my house, but if you'd prefer to stay in your space, im happy for you to do that.

  Cosmo (4 ans)

  Of course Im bias, but I think Cosmo is the most handsome and funniest cat ive ever met. He's very chatty in the morning, always annoyed that im taking too long making coffee before I serve him his breakfast. Once he knows you, he's very cuddly. He follows me everywhere and sleeps next to me (or preferably on my lap) when im working. The only downside to him is that he does go hunting and does try to present me with "gifts" occasionally. Mostly mice, rarely birds. I try to tell him to stop, but he's a farm cat! Other than that, he's gorgeous company.
