  Hi there!! We are an Iberian Family of three: Carmen (ES) [37] , João (PT) [40] and our little dauther Maf [3]
  A couple of years ago we made the decision to purchase some land in the hearth of northwest Portugal with the intention of embarking on a lifestyle more closely connected to earth and comunity.
  
  Currently we are inmersed in our journey to recover this old tiny family farm (2,5 acre) toward a more sustainable and resilient future.
  
  We are looking for an independent, happy, friendly, tidy and helpful female volunteer (over 20 years old ) to help around the farm.
  
  Whether you have a passion for organic farming, enjoy caring for children, or have skills in bioconstruction, there is a place for you here!
  
  Join us and immerse yourself in the charm of low-impact methods, cultivating a green haven that embraces organic living. Join us in sowing the seeds of sustainability, where every day will be a chance to connect with the land and experience the beauty of responsible farming.

  Our farm is home to two draft horses (Lola & Sabor) that are part of our family and daily life, as well as an adorable and fun-loving dog (Mica) who (if you want) will be pleased to fill your days here with joy and companionship.
  
  So primarily, we are looking for someone who is kind and patient and who'll enjoy being around with kids and animals.

  At home we hope to offer you a captivating blend of culture of the iberian peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and in our farm we're committed to nurturing the land with low-impact methods that prioritize harmony with nature, so we hope that each activity presents an opportunity for learning and personal growth.
  
  Also our town and surrounding villages maintain strong ties to rural traditions providing visitors with opportunities to experience authentic Portuguese culture.
  
  The natural beauty of Paredes de Coura offers ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. From hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding hills and forests to swimming and picnicking along the Coura River, visitors can immerse themselves in nature while enjoying a variety of activities.
  
  On top of that, our region in Portugal is rich in cultural heritage and traditions that make it truly fascinating.
  Actually this area is known for its vibrant folklore and traditional festivals, gastronomy, and natural splendor that makes it a must-visit destination for travelers seeking a genuine Portuguese experience.

  This is our first year at the farm so any help is welcome.
  Whether you have a passion for organic farming, animals, gardening, enjoy teaching english to kids and caring for children, or have skills in bioconstruction you have a place here.

  Hébergement

  The accomodation is in the same house as we live, but the room that we offer is at one end of the house, allowing for a separate entrance and a semi-private garden.
  We offer a loft bedroom, with its own full bathroom and an independent auxiliar kitchen at our auxiliary building near the house to cook your own food, so food restricctions are not a problem either. :)

  We are a bike ride away from the main village: Paredes de Coura (less than 2 km) there is some supermarkets, shops, cafes , restaurants, and a little bus station.
  
  We are a 25' bus ride away from Valença-Tui (PT-SP border) which has a railway station that serves regional and long-distance trains as well as connecting local services across the border to Galicia.
  
  Another bus ride will take you to Ponte de lima (the oldest town in Portugal, which has almost 900 years of history.)
  
  We are about 40 minutes away by car from Vigo Airport and 1.10h from Porto Airport.
  
  Big cities like Braga and Vigo are 50 min drive
  
  The final stage of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago is not far from here, and Santiago de compostela is about 150 kilometers away.
