Description
We are a small cooperative run by Giulia (italian) and Maxi (argentinian) Four years ago we bought an old house next to Demonte that we are fixing. We are involved in a community work, dedicating to bio-agriculture and agro-ecology. We are managing a refuge and cultural centre 20 m south from Demonte, in the low Stura Valley. We organize classes and workshops on felt, foraging. We've been volunteer in various occasions and we know that can be a unique opportunity. We'd like to host person who can help while we are working in the Borgata Paraloup at thesame time a cultural centre a refugee and a testimony of the history of the partisans in the II WW. The place is really nice, up on the mountain, 1300 mt, in the Occitan valley not far from France and in summer till October is full of sagre concerts trekking and so on all around moreover the numerous sports to practice (rafting, riding, hiking, biking and a lots of others ing). The place is really nice, up on the mountain, 900-1000 mt, in the Occitan valley not far from France and in summer till October is full of feste sagre concerts and so on all around. English, Spanish and Italian spoken. I (Giulia) can show you most of the local herbs and how to use as raw food or preparing marmelade etc Maxi knows a lot about s the life in the mountain ! also we can offer to present you some of the different local producers if you are interested in learning more about how to make cheese, honey, felt etc

At Paraloup helping us with the hosts who came to visit eat and sleep house/garden/dogs sitting ! you'll have to take care and enjoy a nice house in the alps

I had such a wonderful experience with Giulia , Max and Maite up in the mountains..
They were so welcoming and we shared great food , chat , music and many wonderful moments together over my two weeks spent there..

They have just started their own community cooperative but have years of experience with animal care and farming, which will definitely pay off in this new adventure they have embarked on. And they've taken Maite along for the ride.
