Description
Hello! We are a small family of 2+1 with 2 lovely dogs,3 cats and 2 giant land snails. We live on an old farm (1909) in Østerlars on beautiful danish island, Bornholm.
Our family consist of danish native Ole (born 1987), me - polish native Natalia (born 1992) and Ole's shared daughter (born 2013) whos with us every second weekend. We have 2 sister cats, a young male cat, 1 siberian husky (Remus) and one goofy mix-of-a-dog (Fenris) + 2 snails - Shelly and Sheldon.
PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH TWO BIG DOGS BEING IN THE HOUSE EVERYDAY! They are gentle and very lovely, but we know that big dogs can scare some poeple. And ours dont know what personal space means. They will follow you everywhere.
Ole is born and raised on Bornholm, while I moved here in 2018. We got married in November, 2021. Because we are a mix family we mostely speak English in our household.
Ole works in a factory, one week for 2 days and the other week for 4 days (including Saturday). His shifts start at 5:30 and end at 17:30, which means he's out of the house for over 12 hours.
I work at Christiania Bikes, 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday). I'm out of the house from around 6 in the morning to 16:30.
All of that means that we have very little time to work on the house during the work week.
The house we are living in was bought by us in autumn 2020. We have a lot of plans for the property and would not mind an extra set of hands (or two :) ). We also own a hectar of land which is ideal for our full of energy dogs.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We love living on Bornholm, which means we are also interested in its history and folklore. Just ask Ole whatever you want, including norse mythology :) I am also very interested in local myths and places associated with them (Natalia) :)
Ole is a passionate D&D player, so if you have similar interests you are more than welcome to join him on one of his campaigns! We can also play something together, in a small group at home, because I'm currently joining Ole on some of his campaigns :)
We would love to take you with us and our dogs to see the most beautiful places on the island, so you can get a real Bornholm experience.Aide
Because our house was a rental property for a long time, we want to make it a real home. We already did quite a lot of work ourselvs (building new walls, painting, putting down floors etc.), but we would not mind an extra help.
FOR NOW WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN HELP WITH (be prepared for dirty / physically demanding work with some of them):
- cleaning the garden: cutting down overgrown areas, pruning the trees etc.
- cleaning up a pond we have in our back garden;
- moving (heavy...) stones from back garden to the edges of the property;
- mechanical tasks (small engines: moped/motorbike);
- main, deep cleaning of the house - before the house was a rental, heavy chainsmokers lived in here for like 20 years. Now its us and our very furry dogs. I do my best (Natalia) to keep it nice and tidy but the house (250 m2) is in a need of real, big cleaning;
- putting down floors in kitchen;
- painting walls in hallway and upstairs hallway;
- someone with artistic skills to paint kitchen furnitures (patterns, florals etc.);
- general house cleaning, cooking, taking care of the dogs and cats.
*All workawayers are responsible for cleaning up after themselves (after cooking, working etc.).
We are expecting you to help around 15 to 25 hours a week (depending on the difficulty level of given task), divided more of less how you want it.
WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN BABYSITTING/DOGSITTING ;)Langues parlées

You will receive your own room. We would share a bathroom, living room and kitchen.
When it comes to food, we would like you to cook dinner 4 times a week (Monday-Thursday).Autres infos...
If you like quiet living, without busy schedule our farm will be a good fit for you. We have one "close" neighbour. Besides that we are surranded by fields. Our house and style of living is perfect for introverts and people who enjoy time by themselves.
If you have a motorcycle license, you can borrow Ole's Yamaha Virago 535. We can also arrange for family car (electric, automatic gears) to be use just by you. I'm sure we can figure something out with a little bit of planning.
Closest store is less than 3 km away. By bike you can also easily get to the near-by forest, castle ruins (Lilleborg) and a fortress (Gambleborg) - both around 5 km from our farm. If you want to test your strenght there's also a so-called Rokkestenen in the same area (rocking stone from an ice age).
You can also visit the biggest round church in Denmark, which is located right around 3.5 km from us. And after that maybe you will want to play a round of mini-golf on the biggest mini-golf course in northern Europe.
If you still want more nature, you can always bike to the waterfall located 5 km from the house.
But maybe you are more of a "museum buff"? You can then visit local art museum or located close-by The Medieval Centre of Bornholm.
Besides that you are more than welcome to come with us and our dogs to one of our "adventures". If your perfect place to visit is too far to bike, but you want some alone time - thats also ok with us! Just ask and we will arrange driving you and picking you up! :)Informations complémentaires
