Great opportunity to practice your Spanish with the locals that work here and of course with our guests. You will meet awesome and good people who come to visit us for our accommodations and eco project. We want to learn from you and your experiences, as well as you learn from our current projects for the caring of the environment and wildlife.
This is about the possibility to change your mindset, another way to live together with environment, a new peaceful harmony with nature.
Aide
We would like to receive someone open-minded and passionate about nature. We will need your help welcoming guests, providing information to the guests & more, help in customer service. Any experience/ideas with any eco-friendly techniques, such as, solar systems or collecting and filtering rain water for use is welcome.
You will be required to help 5 hours per day, 5 days a week. You will have 2 days off during the week.
It's important that you be environmentally conscious, as well as, friendly as we are a hotel dedicated to conserving the jungle and providing our guests with the best experience possible.

We have a 2 volunteer rooms with 2 beds each, and a shared bathroom.
We provide lunch and a common kitchen area that you're welcome to use, as well as our stock of food and fresh veggies.
You can swim in the lagoon as much as you want, we have one cat that is part of the family and we would like it to be treated as such.

Sofia y yo estuvimos casi un mes en este gran lugar . esta en la selva Maya a 7 min de Bacalar en coche. Sof y yo casi siempre le pedimos ride a la familia cuando queríamos ir a Bacalar y nos regresábamos en colectivo (el colectivo nos costaba de $40 a $20 pesos mx).

I spent 1 month here and it was totally perfect. The place itself is gorgeous, in the middle of the nature only few steps from the most amazing lagoon I've ever seen. You can swim there at any moment or use the kayaks for free, or just chill in a hammock.
