House is In Between Tokyo and Kyoto surrounded by mountains, Bamboo forests, Rivers and Green Tea Fields.
I live in a house that we renovated from green tea factory to a nice home and we have an extra room for workaways. around us we have bamboo forests

we need seasonal help in 5 projects that we do:
1. Cleaning our House - march, April, and few more times during the year.
2. Bamboo shoots harvest - end of march to April.
3. Bamboo cutting and cleaning forest - November
4. Bamboo cutting a - November to December
5. House Renovation- January . Looking for carpenters.
we are really grateful for you for reading my

winter is very cold - think twice before you write to us :)
We also want to mention that there are spiders in the house. They are harmless, but they are big!!when its winter No insect.

Aide
We try to write the help description as clear as we can so it would be easy to understand what you are coming for. we really wish for you to have great time here and for me to Enjoy and to get our important work done.
1. Bamboo shoots harvest -
help harvesting bamboo shoots. at the beginning of the season the bamboo shoots are hiding under ground when only their top in out, so it may takes time to find them.
The bamboo shoots can wight from 300 gr. to 4 kg. every day we want to harvest as much as we can.
in the morning we drive to the forest. then we climb up the mountain and starts harvesting. we collect the bamboo shots in 20 kg box and deliver them to the local farmers factory at the end of the day.
2. Bamboo cutting and cleaning forest -
we need help with cleaning our bamboo forest. we will cut old bamboos, pick up old brunches....and more. we have to move old bamboo bunches from the forest to another place..
3. Bamboo cutting -
we wish to cut about 100 bamboos - about 20 bamboos need to be cut every day. we cut them by hand saw and by chain saw. after cutting we need to carry the bamboo to the storage place. than we cut the 15 meter bamboos to 2.5 meter sections - this we do by electric saw. also we will clean the bamboo forest as we go. we also use machine to make the branches in to compost.
and we give them to local artists.
We cannot damage the bamboo, and this make this work also gentle and sensitive.
It can be hard in the bamboo forest - there are no path, sometimes you need to climb the mountain, the bamboo is heavy... are you sure you are up for this?also mosquitoes are waiting for you there...bzzzzz.... its also beautiful and quite but its important for us to emphasize the challenging part since this job is very important to us and we work with a dead line. thank you so much
4. House cleaning work:
we need help with cleaning the house and gardening.
we love to clean very well and we think its good job for someone that enjoy cleaning, and care to clean very well.
also sometimes the work in under time pressure - and we need to clean good and fast - so we hope its ok for you.

Our village is traditional farmers village which is famous for the harvest of green-tea and Bamboo shoot.
in this area you can enjoy: mountain hiking with great view of Fuji mountain, traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, Hot spring, rivers (good for swimming), famous fish market, traditional hand-craft arts workshops, traditional food market (on the 28 of every month) and Local restaurants.
when you wish to go out from the house, there is 10 minutes walk to the nearest bus station, from there you can reach any destination.

We have stayed 2 weeks with Hila and Dai. It was a nice experience to work and live with them. They organize and schedule everything detailed. Village is very beatiful, nice area. We are very happy that we have stayed there. Thank you Hila and Dai for everything.

Got fit, breathing fresh mountain air, in breezing nights looking on the bright stars, kept warm by the kerosene heater.

I stayed 6 days in "Dai and Hila's loosing fat camp"! It's working!! I lost 15 kilos in just one week!

Was looking to see Japanese culture and that's exactly what Hila and Daisuke provided. Excellent host's amazing home. Fun new experiences farming takenoko in the mountains. Beautiful area in general would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is a wonderful place, with amazing people and fantastic work to carry out. Positivity is abound in this little village and there's a real sense of peace up in the bamboo forest too. I can't recommend it enough.
