  Hi Workawayers!
  
  I'm Tanja, and I live in a vibrant, central suburb of the Gold Coast. I'm transforming part of my home into a personal wellness retreat, and I need a helping hand with the key first step!
  
  The Main Project:
  My single carport is currently paved with brick pavers over soil. The surface is uneven and sloped. I need a capable helper or couple of helpers to lift the pavers, level the soil/ground beneath, and relay the pavers to create a perfectly flat, stable base. This base will be the new home for my infrared sauna!
  
  This is a hands-on, physical project that requires some strength, patience, and ideally, a bit of DIY or landscaping experience. It's a satisfying job with a clear and wonderful outcome.
  
  Other Help:
  Once the main project is done (or if we need a break from it), I'd love help with other tasks to make my home a tranquil "zen" space:
  
  · Gardening and creating a peaceful outdoor retreat.
  · General handyman/woman tasks (hanging art, installing a small camera, sanding/painting).
  · Home organisation and styling (decluttering wardrobes, etc.).
  · Creative teaching (I'd love to learn pottery, drawing, or painting!).
  · Feeding my sweet cat when I'm away.
  
  What You Get:
  In exchange for your help, you'll have:
  
  · Your own comfortable private room in my calm home.
  · Your kitchen to use as you please (I use the outdoor kitchen).
  · Access to the pool and garden.
  · A fantastic location: walking distance to the beach, cafes, shops, and the HOTA arts centre.
  · A flexible schedule – we'll agree on a fair arrangement of hours that works for both of us.

  Hello! I'm Tanja – a creative and easygoing homeowner in the heart of the Gold Coast. I'm on a mission to "zenify" my space, transforming it into a peaceful sanctuary for wellness and creativity. My home is your base for exploring everything this amazing area has to offer, and I'd love for you to be a part of this journey!
  
  The Vision & The Project:
  The cornerstone of my plan is to install an infrared sauna in my carport, turning it into my personal wellness corner. To do this, I need a volunteer with some practical skill and strength for the main project:
  
  Leveling the Sauna Base: The carport is currently paved with brick pavers on a sloped, soil base. I need a helper to lift the pavers, expertly level the ground beneath, and relay the pavers to create a perfectly flat and stable surface. If you have experience with DIY, landscaping, or just have a good head for practical tasks and don't mind physical work, this is for you!
  
  Beyond the Bricks:
  My vision extends beyond the sauna! Depending on your interests and skills, I'd love your help with any of the following to create our tranquil retreat:
  
  · Garden Magic: Helping to nurture and create a beautiful, tranquil garden.
  · Handy Help: Tasks like hanging art, installing a security camera, or small painting projects.
  · Styling & Organisation: Helping me declutter and refresh spaces like my wardrobe.
  · Creative Exchange: If you're into pottery, painting, or drawing, I would be thrilled to learn from you!
  · Pet Care: Simply feeding my lovely, low-maintenance cat when I'm away.
  
  Your Home on the Gold Coast:
  In exchange for your help, you'll receive:
  
  · A comfortable, private room in my home.
  · Your own kitchen to use freely.
  · Access to the pool, garden, and all the comforts of home.
  · A prime Gold Coast location: Just a walk away from the beach, cafes, shops, and the HOTA arts and culture hub.
  · A flexible schedule—we'll work out a fair hours arrangement that gives you plenty of time to explore.

  it’s really important to me to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment. You’ll mostly work independently and we can find a rhythm that suits both of us.
  
  I really appreciate clear, kind communication and a sense of care in the work you do — whether you’re planting a flower, sanding a panel, or helping create a little oasis.

  the bus stop is right across the road, but most things are within walking distance too
