    Description

    Aloha fellow Earth Stewards
We are the stewards of a 3 acre food forest, nature retreat, 501c3 NPO, & ecological community learning space in a very rural part of the island of Hawai’i.
We are looking for fellow, experienced permaculture enthusiasts who would like to come spend some time lending a hand to the care of the land, contribute to our efforts in growing food with regenerative agriculture, & living a low impact, low consumption, holistic & sustainable lifestyle.
This opportunity is best suited for those experienced in off-grid living, landscaping, gardening, & inhabiting community spaces; specifically those with a culture of wellness & spiritual growth.
We are health nuts and sharing holistic healing with our local community & visitors is one of our passions. We’re looking to find people who also have their own embodied self-care practice who we can share our love of the healing arts with. Individuals who are grounded into the Earth with a connection to cosmic consciousness.
We practice silence, sobriety & treat our space as an Earth Ashram. To us this means cultivating a clean, peaceful, organized space inwardly & outwardly. We believe community comes about naturally, so there is no set expectations on sharing meals & time together. We encourage time for solitude & quiet contemplation on the land. The land here is a force with strong trade winds, frequent rains, & ample beauty. Must be comfortable living in rustic spaces immersed in a natural environment.
We do not encourage tourism here. We encourage conscious travel & invite people who want to learn from & give back to the land. We’re not interested in tourists, influencers, or instagramers looking for content. Your experience with social media management is not useful here & there is no Wi-Fi.
Additional skills in yoga & bodywork are added plus to share. Other helpful skills include at least basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, & property management.
Your work will consist of land care, cleaning, landscaping, tending to gardens, assisting building projects, & being available for supporting the residents/guests to the center. We do not have more than a few cats currently, so there is no animal husbandry at this time. Chores are done daily to keep the land & spaces clean, with 4 full days a week dedicated to larger projects.

If you are looking for opportunities in Hawai'i, you should only come here with enough money saved to move through a costly place without putting a burden on the local community/economy/resources. It is best to come here with the expectation to LEARN & SERVE the land & locals. Come here with ample humility & receptivity, not looking to take from this place, and you will receive an abundance of generosity, healing, enjoyment, and growth from your experience.

    Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre

The new world is built on the foundation of greater understanding between humans and with nature. Much of that involves personal introspective work, communion with nature, and building community. All of this is available here. Hawai'i itself has an ancient culture with a deep spiritual connection to the earth, which we honor here. We are both experienced teachers and healers who love to share and exchange what we have learned in our travels and studies, while always learning from those around us.
